About China Max
China Max, located at 80 Premium Outlets Blvd #699 in Merrimack, New Hampshire, is a Chinese restaurant that has reportedly changed its name to Asian Pro. Recent customer reviews available online express extreme dissatisfaction with the establishment, citing severely poor food quality and alarming hygiene practices. This introduction aims to provide an objective analysis of China Max (Asian Pro) based on this feedback, highlighting the significant issues raised by recent patrons to inform local users.
One of the most striking aspects of the recent feedback is the overwhelmingly negative assessment of the food quality. One reviewer, claiming extensive experience with Chinese cuisine across the country, stated that the food from China Max (Asian Pro) was "by far the worst Chinese food I ever tasted." This is an exceptionally strong condemnation that should be a major concern for any potential customer. The reviewer provided specific examples of poorly prepared dishes, indicating fundamental issues with the restaurant's cooking.
The Lo Mein was described as "dry," suggesting that it may have been sitting for an extended period or improperly cooked. Dry noodles can be unappetizing and lack the characteristic flavor and texture of well-prepared Lo Mein. The Bourbon Chicken was also heavily criticized, with the reviewer noting that it was "not cooked with the bourbon sauce" but rather had the sauce "just thrown on top after." This indicates a lack of proper cooking technique and flavor infusion, resulting in a dish that does not meet the expected standards for Bourbon Chicken.
Furthermore, the Orange Chicken, a popular Chinese-American dish, was reported to be "not sweet." The sweetness is a key component of the flavor profile of Orange Chicken, and its absence suggests a significant deviation from the standard recipe and taste. Even the Fried Rice was described negatively, with the reviewer stating that it "looks like white rice," implying a lack of the typical ingredients and preparation methods that give fried rice its characteristic color and flavor. The reviewer concluded their assessment with a blunt and unequivocal "It sucks," leaving no doubt about their extreme dissatisfaction with the food.
In addition to the severe criticism of the food quality, another reviewer raised a significant hygiene concern regarding the food handling practices at China Max (Asian Pro). This customer reported an incident involving a staff member who used a phone and touched her nose and then "refused to wear gloves." This behavior is a serious breach of food safety protocols, as it creates a direct pathway for the transfer of germs and contaminants to the food being prepared and served. The customer was understandably "very upset" by this lack of hygiene consciousness.
The staff member's reaction to the customer's concern was also negative. Instead of addressing the hygiene issue, the staff member reportedly "send me to eat somewhere else," indicating a dismissive and unprofessional attitude towards customer safety and concerns. The reviewer rightly labeled this behavior as "disgusting," further emphasizing the severity of the hygiene lapse and the poor customer service in addressing it.
Collectively, these two recent reviews paint an extremely negative picture of China Max, now reportedly operating as Asian Pro. The food is described as the worst ever tasted, with specific dishes suffering from poor preparation and a lack of expected flavor and texture. The reported hygiene incident, involving a staff member refusing to wear gloves after touching their face and then telling a concerned customer to eat elsewhere, is deeply alarming and indicates a potential disregard for basic food safety standards.
Given the severity of these issues – encompassing both extremely poor food quality across multiple dishes and a significant breach of hygiene protocol – it is impossible to identify any positive features or potential benefits of patronizing China Max (Asian Pro) based on this information. The overwhelming negative sentiment and the serious nature of the reported incidents should serve as a strong deterrent for potential customers.
Similarly, there is no mention of any promotional offers, popular dishes that receive positive feedback, or unique aspects of the restaurant that might otherwise attract customers. The entirety of the available feedback focuses on the negative experiences related to food quality and hygiene. Therefore, there is no basis to recommend this establishment to local users seeking a satisfactory or safe Chinese dining experience.
In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for China Max, now reportedly known as Asian Pro, located at 80 Premium Outlets Blvd #699 in Merrimack, NH, raise very serious concerns. The food is described as exceptionally poor, with specific examples of dry Lo Mein, improperly prepared Bourbon Chicken, unsweet Orange Chicken, and subpar Fried Rice. Additionally, a reported incident of a staff member refusing to wear gloves after touching their face and then being dismissive of a customer's hygiene concerns is deeply troubling. Local users seeking a palatable and safe Chinese meal are strongly advised to avoid this establishment based on this overwhelmingly negative feedback.

Now called Asian Pro and by far this is the worst Chinese food I ever tasted and I’ve a lot all over the country. They clearly don’t know what they are doing. Dry lo me in like it’s been sitting for a while. Bourbon chicken not cooked with the bourbon sauce it’s just thrown on top after. Orange chicken not sweet. Fried rice looks like white rice. It sucks.
After using the phone and touching her nose she refused to wear gloves, very upset she send me to eat somewhere else, it's disgusting,
Better than many other local shops
Worst quality food. Expensive. No respect for customers here as if there are giving food for free. This place should close. Bad quality chicken.
Worst egg rolls ever. It looked good and was hot. However it was almost empty. A gel substance we were convinced must be the cabbage. 90% air.
