The available customer reviews for China Kitchen paint a concerning picture regarding the dining experience. One reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction with the crab rangoons, describing them as the "worst" they have ever had. They speculate that the rangoons were either microwaved or had been sitting out for an extended period, resulting in a "rubbery" texture. This reviewer also mentions that this was their second attempt at trying the restaurant and concluded that the establishment "don't care." Furthermore, they found the prices to be "ridiculous," suggesting a poor value proposition.

Another customer who tried China Kitchen for the first time also reported a negative experience. They found the food to be "bland" and the prices to be "outrageous," even for lunch specials. Additionally, they noted that the sweet tea tasted stale, likening it to being "about a month old," and urged the restaurant to improve their tea quality, suggesting they could afford to do so. This feedback further reinforces concerns about the food quality and pricing at China Kitchen.

Given these recent and critical reviews, it is essential to approach an introduction of China Kitchen with an objective lens, highlighting the concerns raised by actual customers. While the reviews do not provide insights into the restaurant's environment or the full scope of its services and features, they do offer direct feedback on crucial aspects such as food quality and pricing.

To provide a more structured overview based on the limited positive information and the significant negative feedback, let's consider the typical aspects of a Chinese restaurant:

Environment: The available reviews do not offer any description of the restaurant's ambiance, decor, or cleanliness. Therefore, no objective information can be provided regarding the environment of China Kitchen. Potential customers would need to visit the location or seek additional information from other sources to form an opinion on this aspect.

Services: As a Chinese restaurant, China Kitchen likely offers standard services such as:

  • Dine-in: Providing a physical space for customers to eat their meals at the restaurant. However, the negative reviews regarding food quality might deter some from choosing this option.
  • Takeout: Given the phone numbers provided, it is reasonable to assume that China Kitchen offers takeout services, allowing customers to order food to eat off-premises. The negative review about the crab rangoons was likely based on a takeout order, indicating potential issues with food quality regardless of the service method.
  • Potential Delivery: Many contemporary restaurants offer delivery services for added convenience. The provided information does not explicitly state whether China Kitchen offers delivery. Interested customers would need to inquire directly about this service and its availability in their area.

Features: Based on the limited information and the negative reviews, it is challenging to highlight positive features of China Kitchen. However, we can note the types of food mentioned:

  • Crab Rangoons: This is a standard appetizer in many American-Chinese restaurants, but the review indicates a significant issue with the quality and preparation at China Kitchen.
  • Lunch Specials: The restaurant offers lunch specials, but a customer found them to be overpriced for the quality received.
  • Sweet Tea: A common beverage offering, but one customer reported it being stale.
  • General Chinese Menu: While specific dishes are not praised, it can be assumed that China Kitchen offers a range of typical American-Chinese cuisine, including various meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetable dishes, along with rice and noodle options. However, the overall quality seems to be a concern based on the available feedback.

Promotional Information: The provided customer reviews do not mention any specific promotions or discounts offered by China Kitchen. It is common for restaurants to have special offers to attract customers, such as lunch deals, family specials, or discounts on certain days. Potential customers interested in any promotions should contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about current offers.

In conclusion, the available customer reviews for China Kitchen in Hardeeville, SC, raise significant concerns regarding the quality of their food, particularly the crab rangoons and even basic items like sweet tea. Additionally, customers have expressed that the prices are high relative to the perceived quality, even for lunch specials. While China Kitchen likely offers dine-in and takeout services, and potentially delivery, the negative feedback regarding the food should be a serious consideration for potential customers. Without more positive or detailed information, it is difficult to recommend China Kitchen based solely on these recent experiences. Local users may want to exercise caution or seek more up-to-date reviews from other sources before deciding to dine at or order from this establishment. Contacting the restaurant directly to inquire about their current food preparation practices and any potential improvements might also be a prudent step for those still interested in trying China Kitchen.

Worst crab rangoons I've ever had. Pretty sure they're microwaved or sat out all day. They're rubbery as all get out. Second time trying this place and you can tell they don't care. And the prices are ridiculous!

Tried for the first time. Food was bland. Prices are outrageous, even for lunch specials. Had a sweet tea, which tasted like it was about a month old. Change out your tea when it goes sour please, you can afford it.

Great service and very quick. Food was hot and seemingly fresh. Crab rangoon shell tasted old, stuffing was fine. Sesame chicken was soggy throughout and chewy/tough Fed 90% of it to the dogs.

Spent $88 on takeout, food was inedible and owner was grumpy. Son got sick from trying to eat just a couple bites of the sweet and sour chicken. Will never go back.

I should have just went to Wendy's... My food was so nasty and greasy. And it sure wasn't worth no almost 40$. If I didn't live far away I would have taken my food back. It's disgusting.
