About China king

China King, located at 125 N Narberth Ave, Narberth, PA 19072, USA, is a Chinese restaurant offering takeout and delivery services. They can be contacted at (610) 668-1688 or +1 610-668-1688.

Serving the community for over twenty years, China King is described as a traditional neighborhood Chinese takeout spot. According to one long-time customer, there may have been a recent change in ownership or cooks, resulting in a difference in the preparation of certain dishes like the General Tso's tofu, with the old style being available during lunch and a new style during dinner.

The same customer noted a change in the management, stating that the former proprietors/managers were nicer than the current ones. Despite this, they continue to order from China King fairly regularly and have enjoyed the addition of Thai options to the menu, which are reported to be consistently delicious. However, they recommend asking for extra tofu when ordering Thai dishes as they can sometimes be light on protein.

In contrast, another customer who ordered a variety of dishes including Kung pao chicken & shrimp, satay chicken, garlic beef, steamed dumplings, and hot & sour soup found the food to be bland overall, with dishes highlighted as "spicy" lacking any significant heat. This customer indicated they would likely not order again.

It is worth noting that the online platform may offer the option to leave instructions for each dish, which could potentially be used to request a higher spice level for those who prefer it.

In summary, China King offers a combination of Chinese and Thai cuisine for takeout and delivery in Narberth. Customer experiences vary, with some appreciating the consistency of certain dishes and the addition of Thai options, while others have found the food bland or have noticed changes in food quality and service over time.

I've been going to China King for twenty plus years. It's a traditional neighborhood Chinese take-out place. I used to love their general tsos tofu - it seems to have changed hands recently so if you order lunch you get the old cook with the old (delicious) tofu but if you order dinner you get the new cook with new tofu (not as good). I will also say that the former proprietors/managers were nicer than the current ones. We still order from there fairly regularly. I have been loving the addition of Thai options which are consistently delicious (though I always ask for extra tofu because they tend to be light on protein otherwise.)

My Mom was craving Chinese and this used to be her favorite place. So we ordered a variety of Kung pao chicken & shrimp, satay chicken, garlic beef, steamed dumplings, hot & sour soup. The consensus from everyone is that it was just bland. A couple dishes were highlighted "spicy". Nope. Nothing that would make us order again. Eaten on Sunday night. There are options on the site to leave instructions for each dish, so you could ensure higher spice level.

Got take out from them. Friendly service, food was ready in a few minutes. I like they have small and large options for the dishes. I went with a large and I will have plenty of leftovers. Tastes great! Thank you

Plain and simple. This is easily my favorite takeout place. Hands down. No frills at all. A new favorite is the Fried Wonton in Szechuan Sauce. Old time favorite is the General Tso Chicken. They fry it when you show up so that it stays crispy. That's a level of commitment that I appreciate. I will continue to return all the time.
