About China King

China King is a Chinese Restaurant situated at 2800 Memorial Hwy #2 in Dallas, Pennsylvania, primarily operating as a takeout establishment serving the local community.

Customer reviews present contrasting opinions on China King. One reviewer found the restaurant to be a standard Chinese takeout place with delicious and well-made food. A notable feature highlighted was that China King offers a Mongolian beef combo, which includes the customer's choice of fried rice and an egg roll. This is different from many other Chinese restaurants where Mongolian beef is typically sold as a small or large order with white rice, requiring a separate order for fried rice. This customer highly recommends China King for Chinese food enthusiasts, praising the food and the unique Mongolian beef combo offering.

However, another customer had a significantly negative first-time experience. They reported that the food was not good at all, tasting like it had been refried. They described the breading as being soaked in oil and even noted an odd taste in the rice. This reviewer attributed the poor food quality to the cook and stated they would not be returning, despite finding the woman at the register to be friendly.

Considering these differing opinions, China King offers a standard Chinese takeout menu with a unique Mongolian beef combo option that some customers appreciate. However, potential customers should also be aware of the negative feedback regarding food quality, with one reviewer citing issues with refried food and excessive oil. For orders or inquiries, China King can be contacted at (570) 674-3697 or +1 570-674-3697.

This place is very standard like any other Chinese takeout places. The food is delicious and well made. I only say this from very few Chinese restaurants. But my rating is mainly to state that this is on of few restaurants, and trust me that it’s very few, that sells you Mongolian beef in form of a combo. Normally you buy it from other Chinese restaurants in small or large with white rice. So if you want anything but white rice, you will have to order a small or large order of the fried rice of your choice. China King awesomely sells you a combo of Mongolian beef with the fried rice of your choice and even comes with an egg roll. Their food is great and definitely recommend any Chinese food enthusiast to come of to China King. Thank you for the experience and the awesome food China king.

First time ordering from here. Food was not good at all. Food tasted like it was all refried .Breading was soaked with oil and even the rice tasted funny. Blame this on the cook. Lazy! Women at register was friendly. Won't be going back.

China King, located on Memorial Highway, is a tiny little restaurant specializing in Hunan, Mandarin, and Cantonese Cuisine. It offers take-out and dining-in options. We arrived on a Saturday evening for take-out. The restaurant was empty and there were no other patrons waiting for any orders. We were greeted by a very friendly woman who had our meals waiting for us as soon as we walked in the door. Although we didn’t order it, we were given two complimentary egg rolls (a lovable small child behind the counter even gave us an extra fortune cookie!). Upon arriving home, we sat down to eat our soups and main courses. The egg drop soup was delicious and flavorful, with plenty of egg whites in a thick broth. The sweet and spicy soup was not to our liking, however, as it had a seemingly barbeque flavor mixed in. Both of our rice dishes were of the short grain variety. The house-fried rice came with plenty of shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, carrots, and onion. Although it tasted well enough, the rice was dry and lumpy, as was the pork fried rice that was also ordered. The complimentary egg rolls were fine, very crispy and stuffed with plenty of shredded cabbage. Overall, the meal was average, and had its hits and misses.Despite the very friendly service, it’s doubtful a return visit will be forthcoming soon, especially with a competitor – about a mile down the road and closer to our home – that is a bit more consistent with a better quality.

Rude on the phone. Just so rude. Can't order for delivery unless you do it on line. Don't worry they let me know quite rudely. I was paying with cash so I had to pick up. Was going to order from some place else in the area but my husband insisted on there. So I call to place an order must have recognized my voice bc instantly said no phone order for delivery again rudely. Chicken tenders which were actually just sweet and sour chicken, horrible greasy and hard I don't even know if there was chicken in them. 🤦‍♀️ other food items bland or just so poorly done, the rice smelled old. Crab ragoons the only thing somewhat decent. The only positive take from the experience was, I was right and we shouldn't have ordered from there and I won the battle with my husband. Years ago was so good. Never again now however.
