China King Express

I ordered an extra egg roll, which was good. The almond dinner was disgusting. Someone poured approximately a cup and a half of yellow gravy over the almond chicken, it was a carry out by the time I got home it was a mass of guck. I threw it in the garbage. I wasted money I would never order their almond chicken again I think, moving forward the only thing I would get from this restaurant is egg rolls.

My husband and I have been going here for approximately 25+ years. Driving from the westside of Ann Arbor to pick up food. Based on past experience ordering general chicken, I told the man on the phone that we wanted the chicken that is fried with the sauce in bite sizes. NOT the cut up fried chicken with dark sauce on the side. After driving approximately 1 hour there and back, we open the food to find... they gave us the fried chicken with dark sauce on the side. They have done this almost a dozen times over the 25+ years. I asked for the manager, since I have spoken to the owner last time we came in and ordered food. We both raised our kids in Ann Arbor in the same neighborhood. This women was a total nightmare that I spoke to. As an Asian American woman myself, I was appalled. It is almost impossible to explain anything to someone who won't let you speak or give you an opportunity to explain. We asked for a refund for the meal we did NOT order. She refused. She offered that next time we come by, we could get a free general chicken. Clearly she did not listen, when we said we do NOT live in Belleville. Mind you, this is all over $15 refund when our normal carryout orders range closer to $100. This is how they treat loyal customers... NEVER again.

Low quality. I never seem a buffet this ghetto even in the hood we don’t have it like this. If it’s an emergency and you haven’t ate nothing all day I say go for it. But To bring your friends or family into this restaurant no you will be disappointed. I wasn’t going to tip but I was nice enough to tip Atleast 2 dollars although this restaurant ain’t it. Normally I tip 10-20 dollars if the food is good and high quality.

Friendly clean atmosphere. Staff was great and attractive. You can either eat from small buffet or order from the menu.

12/21/23 Well, after months of searching, I was FINALLY able to locate a Chinese Restaurant that still offers DINE IN service. It was a 40 minute one way drive for me but it was absolutely worth it. I was nervous when I first entered and found this enormous Restaurant empty with staff everywhere just relaxing. Always remember, appearances can be very misleading. This place quickly filled up as I was enjoying my meal. (I was there around 3:50 P.M.). The reason that most people go to a restaurant is to be able to relax and enjoy having a good meal, good service, a pleasant environment, and have nothing to clean up once we are finished. That's an issue that Google needs to address with regards to CARRY OUT ONLY establishments that CLAIM to be Restaurants. But that's not an issue here at China King Express. They have a Wonderful Restaurant that not only offers individual lunches/dinners but a FULL Chinese Buffet should you choose that option. I choose the Almond Chicken from the individual menu and had plenty of leftovers to bring home 🏡 for a later snack. My dinner was good and the service was Fantastic. My food came out in less than 10 minutes from the time I ordered it. And they have a Ice Cream Dessert bar (the kids will love it) if you still have room once you finish your dinner. The prices were VERY reasonable and for those who wish to indulge themselves, a complete bar with all kinds of drink options available. It's a great place to take the wife, the girlfriend, or (if you're Really, REALLY brave) both at the same time. Lol. They have plenty of room for the entire family. The kids can check out the huge aquarium by the entrance and have ice cream when they finish eating. They will be open on Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day for those who want to help the wife out after long, busy days.
