About China King Asian Food

China King Asian Food, located at 280 S Koeller St, Oshkosh, WI 54902, USA, is categorized as a Chinese Restaurant that offers a buffet-style dining experience along with additional features like sushi and a Mongolian grill. For local users in Oshkosh seeking a diverse range of Asian culinary options, China King Asian Food presents itself as a potential choice. However, it is essential to consider recent customer feedback to gain a comprehensive understanding of the dining experience offered.

One customer review raises significant concerns regarding the quality and preparation of the food. This review states that some food items were either undercooked or overcooked and dry. Specifically, the Crab Rangoon was mentioned as being undercooked. The reviewer further alleges that the manager refused to provide a refund for the unsatisfactory dish and disputed the customer's explanation regarding the appearance of undercooked Crab Rangoons. This account also includes an accusation of an employee falsely claiming to have already removed payment from the table and a refusal by the management to review security camera footage to verify the situation. Additionally, the reviewer reports being accused of damaging bathroom facilities upon leaving the premises. This detailed negative experience highlights potential issues with food quality control, customer service, and conflict resolution at China King Asian Food.

In contrast, another customer review offers a more balanced perspective, describing the establishment as a "typical buffet" and noting the positive addition of sushi, despite a "small choice." The presence of a Mongolian grill is also mentioned as a positive feature. This suggests that China King Asian Food aims to provide variety through its buffet offerings, including options beyond traditional Chinese cuisine.

However, this second review also brings to light a concern regarding billing practices. The customer reports that the restaurant attempted to impose a "service fee" on their family's bill, which included two adults and three children (ages 12, 10, and 4). The customer states that they were not informed about this fee beforehand, as there was no warning or signage indicating its potential application. Consequently, the customer paid in cash without including the service fee. This incident raises questions about the transparency of pricing and the communication of additional charges to customers.

Based on the available customer feedback, China King Asian Food offers a buffet experience with the added attractions of sushi and a Mongolian grill, potentially providing a diverse range of Asian food options for local diners in Oshkosh. However, it is crucial to acknowledge the significant negative feedback regarding food quality issues, particularly the alleged serving of undercooked food and the subsequent handling of the customer complaint by the management. The reported attempt to add an unexpected service fee also warrants consideration regarding the restaurant's billing practices.

The limited information available does not provide details about the restaurant's ambiance or the general environment of the dining area. Therefore, local users would need to visit the establishment to assess the atmosphere for themselves. Similarly, there is no information regarding any specific promotional offers or unique features beyond the buffet, sushi, and Mongolian grill.

For local users in Oshkosh considering dining at China King Asian Food, it is advisable to weigh the contrasting customer experiences. The availability of a buffet with sushi and a Mongolian grill might appeal to those seeking variety. However, the serious allegations of undercooked food, poor customer service in handling complaints, and the attempt to impose an undisclosed service fee are significant factors that potential customers should take into account. To obtain the most current information about their menu, pricing, policies, and any ongoing promotions, local users may wish to contact China King Asian Food directly at (920) 424-9988 or their mobile number +1 920-424-9988.

In conclusion, China King Asian Food in Oshkosh offers a buffet with a selection of Chinese dishes, along with sushi and a Mongolian grill. While the variety might be appealing, potential customers should be aware of the reported negative experiences concerning food quality and billing practices. The conflicting reviews suggest a degree of inconsistency in the overall customer experience. Local users are encouraged to consider these factors and potentially seek further clarification from the restaurant before making a decision to dine there.

Food was either undercooked or overcooked and dry. Crab rangoon specifically was undercooked the manager refused to give a refund. And tried telling us that it looked that way because of the cream cheese which if anyone knows crab rangoons the cream cheese does not affect how much of it is actually fried. I asked for a refund and the manager refused the employee lied and stated that he already took place from the table I asked them to look at the cameras and they refuse to do that. And then they accused us of damaging things in their bathroom as we were leaving.

Typical buffet, nice they had sushi, small choice but was still good. Had Mongolian grill there too that was good. Only problem we really had is they tried to force a service fee to my family 2 adults a 12,10, and 4 year old. I paid cash without service fee as I was given no warning and there was no sign telling me a service fee could be added.

Normally not a big fan of buffets but would come back to this one again. Lots of the China buffet standards but some interesting additional items. Husband really liked the duck. Overall very good food and service.

Wow -- I really *LOVED* this buffet, especially the Spicy Chicken, the Fried Rice and the green beans. I tried a number of other items, but the three I mentioned were my favorites. The buffet was well stocked and the employees were very courteous, polite and attentive. China King is in the same parking lot as the Marcus Theatre in Oshkosh; it'd be a really nice "date night" to eat here and then walk across the way to watch a movie. Now that I mention that, I might have to try that with my wife next time we decide to run to Oshkosh to see a movie. In short, if you're hungry and are in the Oshkosh area, this is definitely a great place to eat. Give them a try -- if you're a fan of Chinese food, I'm sure you'll enjoy China King.

I've never experienced such terrible tasting Chinese food. It's sad, because the staff is great and probably not getting paid enough tips because of the food. The decor is nice. It's being wasted on the buffet. They need to re tool and hire actual experienced chefs in this cuisine and get rid of that buffet altogether. They could really have something then. My husband and I were amazed by the people who were just chowing down. Oblivious to what good Chinese food should taste like. Another disappointment was the waiters lack of English and understanding of what beverages they have. I just wanted bottled water and tea. My husband would like a beer which we found out afterwards is available. But it was not even mentioned. I never received my hot tea and the water was some kind of watered down koolaid tasting thing that I automatically sent back and took a ice tea instead. Oh well, live and learn. Now we tried China King and learned. We're going to stick to Chinatown Kitchen in Fond du Lac. It's not as big or decorated as nice but the food is really much better
