About China inn

China Inn is a Chinese restaurant located at 9613 N College Ave in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a local Chinese restaurant, China Inn likely offers a range of Chinese dishes with services including takeout, delivery, and potentially dine-in. Recent customer reviews present a stark contrast in experiences, with one detailing severe issues regarding staff conduct and food quality, while another reports satisfaction with specific dishes and delivery speed.

One customer shared an extremely negative experience, alleging "racially rude" behavior from the staff. They recounted being asked an inappropriate question about whether they had ever had Chinese food before. Furthermore, they described the food as tasting like "freezer burn products" and being undercooked. The dumplings were described in particularly unpleasant terms, suggesting significant hygiene or preparation issues. This reviewer concluded that the food was "utterly disgusting" and called for a review of the restaurant's staff, specifically mentioning a young woman with "attitude issues." They also noted having eaten at the establishment twice, with the latter experience being the negative one. The review ends with the information that the restaurant was closed at the time of writing.

In stark contrast, another customer reported a positive experience with a delivery order placed "last night." This reviewer found the lo mein noodles to be "great and hot" and also praised the hot n sour soup. They further commented on the speed of the delivery, describing it as "fast!" This feedback suggests that at least some of the dishes can be satisfactory and that the delivery service is efficient.

The dramatically different reviews present a challenge in forming a definitive assessment of China Inn. The first review raises serious concerns about the professionalism and behavior of the staff, as well as the quality and safety of the food. Allegations of racial rudeness and descriptions of the food as undercooked and tasting like it had been contaminated are significant red flags for potential customers. The information that the restaurant was closed at the time of that review adds another layer of uncertainty about its current operational status.

On the other hand, the second review offers a more positive perspective, highlighting the good quality of specific dishes (lo mein and hot n sour soup) and the efficiency of the delivery service. This suggests that there might be some variability in the quality of different menu items or in the overall experience depending on whether one dines in or orders delivery, and perhaps even on the specific staff encountered.

Given the severe nature of the negative allegations, including racial rudeness and significant food quality issues, potential customers should approach China Inn with considerable caution. The information about the restaurant being closed in one review also warrants investigation into its current operating status.

The environment of China Inn is not described in either review. The negative review focuses on staff behavior and food quality, while the positive review pertains to a delivery order, offering no insight into the dine-in atmosphere. Therefore, no objective description of the restaurant's environment can be provided based on this information.

The services offered by China Inn appear to include takeout and delivery, as indicated by the positive delivery review and the negative review stemming from a dine-in experience (implied by the mention of staff interaction at the restaurant). Whether dine-in service is currently available, especially given the mention of closure in one review, is uncertain.

No specific features or promotional information about China Inn can be gleaned from these reviews. The focus is primarily on the quality of the food and the service received.

For local users in Indianapolis, particularly those in the N College Ave area, China Inn presents a highly uncertain option. The serious allegations of racial rudeness and disgusting food quality in one review should not be taken lightly. While another customer reported a positive experience with specific delivery items and speed, the stark contrast makes it difficult to recommend China Inn without further investigation into its current management, staff, and food safety practices. The reported closure also needs to be verified.

Local users considering China Inn might want to check for more recent reviews or updates on its operational status before placing an order or visiting the location at 9613 N College Ave. Contacting them at (317) 566-1788 or +1 317-566-1788 might provide more current information, but the significant negative feedback regarding staff behavior and food quality remains a serious concern.

In conclusion, the recent online reviews for China Inn in Indianapolis offer a highly conflicting picture. One review details severe issues with racially rude staff and utterly disgusting, undercooked food, while another praises the lo mein, hot n sour soup, and fast delivery. Additionally, one review mentioned the restaurant being closed. Potential customers should exercise extreme caution and seek more current and consistent information before considering China Inn.

The staff was racially rude, they ask have I ever had Chinese food. The food tasted like freezer burn products, under cooked, and the dumplings taste like it was in someone mouth and saliva. The food was utterly disgusting . They need to review the restaurant young woman, and her attitude issues, I have ate twice out the place. Restaurant closed.

Ding on the atmosphere because it's tiny and beat up. To be clear we always do an order pick up. BUT for Americanized Chinese food, it's solid. Like their beef short ribs aren't bright red. And they taste beefy.

Egg roll and crab rangoon were great. Need to order some more entrees to give a full review. I tried the Kung Pao chicken, roast pork with snow peas and general tso. All good but I want to try others. What is the best dish?

5 stars all the way!! I have ordered take away about half a dozen times from here in the past couple of months and each time it’s been excellent. The service is quick and friendly and the food is always freshly made! Zero complaints. Love this place!
