About China Impression

China Impression is a Chinese restaurant located at 1100 Burnhamthorpe Rd W, Mississauga, ON L5C 4E9, Canada. They can be contacted at (905) 306-8898 or +1 905-306-8898. Based on customer reviews, China Impression offers a consistently delicious dining experience, specializing in northern Chinese cuisine with bold and sometimes spicy flavors. They provide a dine-in setting and likely offer takeout services as well.

Customers have highlighted several standout dishes. The Deep Fried Shrimp with Spiced Salt is described as phenomenal, with fresh, perfectly crispy shrimp seasoned to perfection, including edible shells. The Tilapia Fish with Mixed Mushroom & Tofu is another favorite, featuring a light, naturally sweet broth and fresh, flavorful ingredients. It's recommended to enjoy this dish before heavier Sichuan options to appreciate its delicate flavors.

Other dishes receiving positive mentions include the Stir-Fried Intestines with Soy Sauce, which pairs well with rice and is even enjoyed by children, and the Tofu with Assorted Meat, praised for its silky, tender tofu and bold, well-seasoned flavors. However, some dishes like the Beef in Hot Sour Sauce (where glass noodles were used, seemingly reducing the beef quantity), Cantonese E-Fu Noodle, and Yangzhou Style Fried Rice were considered average and not particularly recommended.

The service at China Impression is generally described as friendly and attentive. Food typically comes out fast and hot, unless it is meant to be served cold. While one reviewer noted a minor downside of a 10–15 minute wait time for dishes, another mentioned that despite the restaurant being fully packed on a Saturday night, the wait was not excessively long.

A notable feature of China Impression is their northern Chinese cuisine, with bold spicy flavors, including a popular lamb stew perfect for colder weather. The restaurant is appreciated for its consistent food quality and the ability to try new and delicious dishes. For local users in Mississauga, ON, China Impression is recommended as a great spot, especially if you are aware of their standout dishes like the Deep Fried Shrimp with Spiced Salt and the Tilapia Fish with Mixed Mushroom & Tofu. It's a place where you can expect a consistently delicious meal and friendly service.

I recently dined at China Impression, and it was a mostly enjoyable experience with some standout dishes. The Beef in Hot Sour Sauce had a nice tangy flavor, though the use of glass noodles seemed to cut back on the amount of beef, which was a slight letdown. Both the Cantonese E-Fu Noodle and Yangzhou Style Fried Rice were average and not dishes I’d particularly recommend. However, the Deep Fried Shrimp with Spiced Salt was phenomenal! The shrimp were fresh, perfectly crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Even the shells were so light and crunchy that you could eat them. This dish is a must-try! The Tilapia Fish with Mixed Mushroom & Tofu was another highlight. The broth was light and naturally sweet, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. A tip: ask for this dish to be served before heavier Sichuan dishes, as its delicate flavors might otherwise get lost. The Stir-Fried Intestines with Soy Sauce was delicious and paired wonderfully with rice—so much so that even the kids loved it! The Tofu with Assorted Meat was also excellent, with silky, tender tofu and bold, well-seasoned flavors. One minor downside was the wait time; dishes took about 10–15 minutes to arrive, which could be improved. Overall, China Impression is a great spot if you know what to order. I’ll definitely be back for their standout shrimp and fish dishes!

Always a consistently delicious dining experience. We love their northern Chinese cuisine with bold spicy flavours most recently their lamb stew which is perfect for the cold weather. Service is always friendly and attentive. Food always comes out fast and hot... Unless it's supposed to be cold! I haven't eaten here in a while I came with friends tonight and the food was just as good as always! We tried some new dishes tonight! All of them were delicious! Thank goodness we did not have to wait too long as the restaurant was fully packed when we showed up on a Saturday night.

Food was served hot and it tasted amazing! We had onion pancake....dumplings....shrimp and egg rice noodles and they were all delicious 😋. The only down side is their service....which is non existent....it looks like there isn't enough staff on a packed restaurant!

This is the first time we have lunch here. The atmosphere is chinese style, and many people have lunch on the weekend. We have to wait to be seated for a while. We ordered preserved olive vegetables ($17.99), pork fried rice ($13.99), black papper beef ($15.99), deep fried pork w/spiced salt. The size per plate is quite big.. The price is reasonable. The foods taste good, the service and waitresses are friendly. However, they don't accept credit card payments. Only cash or debit are accepted. It is recommended.

My parents recommended this place and we went on lunar new year eve. Of course it was busy, but the kitchen and servers did their best. The food all seemed made to order: fresh, crispy, juicy, hot. For example, the "general tao" meat dish was not soggy like most places. Highly recommended.
