About China Hut

Welcome to China Hut, a Chinese restaurant located at 850 Lane Allen Rd, Lexington, KY 40504, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category in Lexington, China Hut aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to its customers, likely offering both dine-in and takeout services based on the nature of the reviews. They can be contacted at (859) 275-5888 or their mobile number +1 859-275-5888 for inquiries or to place an order.

Based on the limited recent customer reviews available, there appears to be a divergence in the experiences reported by diners. One review offers some positive feedback on specific food items but also notes a significant issue with another dish. In contrast, the second review expresses strong dissatisfaction with both the customer service and the cleanliness of the restaurant, as well as the quality of the food overall. It is important for potential customers to consider both of these perspectives when evaluating China Hut.

One customer described the food as "pretty good" overall. They specifically mentioned trying the beef egg foo young. While they found the beef in this dish to be "tough and chewy," they noted that the egg portion itself was good. Based on this experience, they suggested that future orders might be better with pork or shrimp instead of beef. This indicates a potential inconsistency in the quality of different protein options within the same dish. This reviewer also positively highlighted the boneless ribs, stating they were "really good" and concluded by saying they "wouldn't mind coming back," suggesting that despite the issue with the beef, there were enough positive aspects to warrant a potential return visit.

However, the second review presents a much more negative experience. This customer described the staff as "very rude and impatient," alleging that they did not allow the customer to order without rushing them. This raises significant concerns about the level of customer service provided at China Hut. Furthermore, this reviewer found the food to be "mediocre at best" and gave the restaurant a very low rating of 0/10, stating they "would not recommend" it. In addition to the poor service and food quality, this customer also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the establishment, describing it as "filthy." They went on to speculate negatively about the hygiene of the staff's homes based on the condition of the restaurant. This feedback indicates a potentially significant issue with the upkeep and cleanliness of the dining environment, which would be a major deterrent for many potential customers.

The contrasting nature of these two reviews makes it challenging to form a definitive overall opinion of China Hut. The first review suggests that some dishes, like the boneless ribs and potentially egg foo young with certain proteins, might be satisfactory, but there are inconsistencies in food quality, as seen with the tough beef. The second review, however, paints a much more concerning picture, highlighting significant issues with rude and impatient service, mediocre food, and a filthy environment. The stark difference in these experiences suggests that the quality of food and service, as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant, might be inconsistent or that different customers have varying standards and experiences.

Based on this limited information, there are no specific features of China Hut highlighted, such as signature dishes or unique preparation methods, beyond the individual items mentioned in the reviews. Similarly, there is no information provided about any promotional offers or specials that the restaurant might be currently running. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.

In conclusion, China Hut in Lexington, KY, appears to be a Chinese restaurant with a mixed reputation based on recent customer feedback. While one reviewer found some dishes to be "pretty good" and the boneless ribs "really good," they also experienced tough beef in their egg foo young. Another reviewer reported significant issues with rude and impatient service, mediocre food, and a "filthy" restaurant environment. Potential local users should carefully consider these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to patronize China Hut. The strong negative feedback regarding service and cleanliness, in particular, is a serious concern. If you are considering dining at or ordering from China Hut, it might be prudent to weigh these recent experiences and potentially manage expectations regarding the overall quality and environment. Without more consistent positive feedback or additional information to address the serious concerns raised, it is difficult to offer a strong recommendation for this establishment.

Very rude and impatient people who do not let you order without rushing you. The food was mediocre at best. 0/10 would not recommend. Not to mention how filthy the place is. Imagine how filthy their home is.

I got fried chicken wings and the general tso chicken with fried rice. Nothing was seasoned and it taste disgusting. No garlic, no salt, no pepper, no onion nothing they just cook the chicken. Idk about y'all but my taste buds require spices and seasoning. The only seasoning comes from the sauce (which is good) but it isn't powerful enough overcome the flavor of unseasoned chicken. Ketchup and hot sauce couldn't help the wings either. The fried rice is not fried rice. It's rice with chopped up onions. No egg, no veggies nothing. I really wanted to like this place but it's a big fat no for me. The prices seem fair for the quantity of food however, the quality of food is so bad.

Ordered food here a little over a month ago for my wife and kids. 2 orders of Sweet and Sour Chicken and General Taos chicken. The chicken we received was spoiled and had a rotten taste. I called and explained to the manager about our order. He took down my phone number and said our next order for 3 combo meals would be comped. Called tonight and they have no record of the 3 comped meals or a record that we even placed an order with them the day it occurred. “Convenient”
