Based on the available reviews, China House has clearly made a positive impression on its patrons, particularly concerning the quality and taste of its food. One enthusiastic reviewer described the restaurant as a "true gem," acknowledging its slightly tucked-away location near the post office but emphasizing that it is "worth finding." This suggests that while China House might not be immediately visible, the culinary rewards are significant enough to warrant the effort of locating it.

A significant feature highlighted by this reviewer is the extensive menu available at China House. With a "big menu of options to choose from," customers can expect a wide selection of classic and perhaps some unique Chinese dishes to satisfy various cravings. The reviewer specifically mentioned ordering and thoroughly enjoying several popular items, including Sweet & Sour Chicken, General Tsos Chicken, Crab Rangoons, Teriyaki Chicken, and Hot and Sour Soup, rating their overall experience as "10/10 deliciousness!" This positive feedback underscores the restaurant's ability to deliver flavorful and well-prepared dishes across different categories.

Another customer echoed the sentiment regarding the incredible quality of the food, stating, "The food is incredible! I literally have no complaints..." This strong endorsement further reinforces the notion that China House prioritizes the taste and preparation of its cuisine, leaving a lasting positive impression on its diners. In terms of services, the reviews explicitly mention the availability of takeout. One reviewer noted that their experience with China House has been exclusively through takeout, facilitated by the restaurant's website for ease of ordering. This indicates that China House caters effectively to customers who prefer to enjoy their meals in the comfort of their own homes. The presence of a website for online ordering is a significant convenience in today's fast-paced environment, allowing for seamless order placement and potentially quicker service.

While the reviews do not provide explicit details about the dine-in environment of China House, the focus on takeout in the available feedback does not necessarily imply the absence of a dining area. It is possible that China House primarily caters to takeout orders or that the reviewers simply opted for this service. Local users interested in dining in might want to inquire directly with the restaurant about their seating arrangements and ambiance.

Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not contain any specific details about ongoing promotions or special offers. However, the consistently positive remarks about the food quality and the convenience of online ordering for takeout can be considered strong implicit selling points. The "10/10 deliciousness" rating and the description of the food as "incredible" serve as powerful endorsements that might attract new customers. The mention of a "big menu" also suggests variety and the potential for repeat visits to explore different dishes.

Interestingly, one reviewer humorously mentioned a minor issue with their takeout order, stating they received only one fortune cookie despite a $50 order, leading to "tantrums." While this anecdote is lighthearted, it does not detract from the overall positive assessment of the food quality. It might even serve as a reminder to customers who value such extras to perhaps request them specifically when placing larger orders.

In conclusion, China House in Kingsport, TN, appears to be a highly regarded Chinese restaurant, particularly for its exceptional food quality and convenient takeout service facilitated by online ordering. Despite being somewhat "tucked away," its delicious offerings, as praised by multiple customers, make it a worthwhile culinary destination for local residents. The extensive menu provides a wide range of options to satisfy diverse tastes. While information about the dine-in environment and current promotions is limited in the provided reviews, the strong emphasis on the deliciousness and quality of the food positions China House as a top contender for those seeking a satisfying Chinese meal in the Kingsport area.

I cant believe I haven't left a review until now. This place is truly a gem. It's tucked away by the post office so you might have to look for it, but it's worth finding. They have a website for ease or ordering, and we have done takeout every time. I would definitely recommend going here, they have a big menu of options to choose from. We ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken, General Tsos Chicken, Crab Rangoons, Teriyaki Chicken, and Hot and Sour Soup. 10/10 deliciousness! :)

The food is incredible! I literally have no complaints other than I ordered $50 worth of food and only got one fortune cookie so I had to deal with tantrums.

I’m not sure if it was an off night, but my food was almost inedible. The beef tasted like boiled rubber, the lo mein and rice tasted very bland, and the shrimp sauce had been watered down so much it hardly stuck onto the food. The inside of the restaurant also smelled of very strong chemicals when I went to pick up my food. Like I said, it could be an off day but the food was pretty rough. The lady at the counter was extremely nice though!

Very poor customer service, overpaid, and because I threw away the food that was wrong, no refund could be given for the $3 extra charge I paid. The manager said I would have to return to the store with the pork fried rice. I placed an online order for pick up, paid extra for plain lo mein as a side instead of pork fried rice, even gave a $2 tip at the time of the online order. When I asked if he could ask the cook to verify he packed the order wrong, he told me there are too many orders and there was nothing he could do. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Yes, some people use a tablet to translate, as someone else's review stated. No, ordering online makes no difference because they do not even look at any notes you put, or translate them or whatever. You can ask for chopsticks or extra water chestnuts and it is ignored. I liked coming here because they have Szechuan dishes for $7-8 on their all day lunch menu, not $12-15 like at other places you may visit. But honestly, the $12-15 at other places is so much more worth it. The food here is regularly a disappointment. Their Teriyaki Chicken skewers are burnt to a crisp. The Crab Rangoon are practically empty inside. The Szechuan dish isn't really spicey no matter what level you order it at, assuming since they don't actually look at the order. If you pay the extra fee to get soup with your order they don't bring it, because they don't check the order. But it's edible, if you need to save the other half of that $15.
