About China House

China House is a Chinese restaurant located at 509 E Lincolnway in Minerva, OH 44657. Serving the Minerva community and surrounding areas, China House can be contacted for orders at (330) 868-4824 or +1 330-868-4824. Based on recent customer reviews available online, this introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the restaurant for local users considering their options for Chinese takeout.

Regarding the environment of China House, the customer reviews indicate that it is a "takeout only" establishment. One reviewer who drove from a nearby town specifically mentioned this aspect. While there is a "desk" area where customers interact with the staff to place and pick up their orders, there is no mention of a dining area for eating on the premises. The reviewer who had a positive experience noted the "sweet" demeanor of the couple at the desk, suggesting a friendly interaction point for customers picking up their food. However, further details about the interior ambiance or cleanliness of the facility are not provided in the available reviews.

The primary service offered by China House is takeout, as explicitly stated by a customer. This means that local users looking to enjoy Chinese cuisine from this establishment will need to place their orders and pick them up to consume elsewhere. One reviewer noted the fast service provided by the staff, which is a positive aspect for those looking for a quick takeout option. The interaction at the desk seems to be the main point of service contact, and at least one customer found the staff to be pleasant.

Based on the recent customer reviews, the features of China House present a mixed picture in terms of food quality and value. One customer who ordered the "roast beef with Chinese vegetables" described it as a "great portion for the price" and found the food to taste "fantastic." This positive experience suggests that some dishes at China House can be satisfying and offer good value. The fact that this customer was willing to drive from another town and would return indicates a positive impression of at least one of their offerings.

However, the second review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This customer ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Won-Ton soup, and an egg roll, and their feedback was overwhelmingly negative. The Shrimp Fried Rice was criticized for being just plain rice without any vegetables and having a "blah" flavor. The egg roll was described as being "about half full" with an indistinguishable and unpleasant filling, leading the reviewer to compare it unfavorably even to a budget supermarket brand. The Won-Ton soup was likened to "the water that flows into your bathtub" in terms of flavor and consistency. Despite a $20 total cost, this customer felt the food was not worth the price and stated they would opt for a fast-food alternative across the street in the future.

The significant difference in these two reviews highlights a potential inconsistency in the quality and preparation of the food at China House. While one customer found their meal to be fantastic and a good value, another found their entire order to be terrible and overpriced. This variability could be a crucial point for local users to consider when deciding whether to order from this establishment. It suggests that the experience might differ significantly depending on the dish ordered or perhaps the day it is prepared.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for China House based on the provided customer reviews. The feedback focuses on the individual experiences with the food and service rather than any ongoing specials, discounts, or new menu items that the restaurant might be advertising. Therefore, local users interested in learning about any promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly at the provided phone numbers.

For local users in Minerva, OH, and those in surrounding areas like Carrollton, who are considering China House for their Chinese takeout needs, it is important to be aware of the contrasting recent reviews. While one customer praised the roast beef with Chinese vegetables for its portion size, price, and taste, another found the Shrimp Fried Rice, egg roll, and Won-Ton soup to be of very poor quality and overpriced. The feedback suggests a potential lack of consistency in the food offerings.

Given the mixed feedback, local users might want to approach ordering from China House with caution. If possible, trying a dish that has received positive feedback, like the roast beef with Chinese vegetables, might be a safer initial option. However, the strongly negative review regarding multiple other items should also be taken into consideration. It might be prudent to inquire about the ingredients and preparation of specific dishes when placing an order to manage expectations.

In conclusion, China House in Minerva, OH, is a takeout-only Chinese restaurant that has received contrasting reviews regarding its food quality and value. While one customer had a positive experience with a specific dish, another found several items to be very poor. The service at the counter was described as fast and friendly by one reviewer. Potential customers should weigh these differing opinions when deciding whether to order from China House. For further information or to place an order, China House can be contacted at (330) 868-4824 or +1 330-868-4824.

I drove to Minerva for some Chinese food as there wasn’t a restaurant nearby in Carrollton. The restaurant is takeout only, but the couple at the desk were so sweet and they were fast with their service. I ordered the roast beef with Chinese vegetables and it’s a great portion for the price. The food tasted fantastic. I would come here again, even if it’s a little bit out of my way!

Terrible!!! Save your money and your stomach and go to McDonald’s across the street. I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Won-Ton soup and 1 eggroll. The fried rice was just that. Rice! (Got what I asked for). Not a single vegetable included. Not 1 pea, carrot, bean sprout… just rice. That might be ok if the flavor was tolerable. It’s not! “Blah” is being very generous. The eggroll was about half full of whatever was in it. Couldn’t tell and the taste didn’t disclose. Most egg rolls are thick and full. Not this one. We seriously wondered if it came from Aldi… but that wouldn’t be fair to Aldi. The Won-Ton soup? You know the water that flows into your bathtub?? Same flavor and consistency. I’d be ok paying the $20 if the food was good, but it’s just not. The only one who was happy and satisfied with this meal was our Doberman who simply doesn’t care about flavor or quality. Just quantity. He would order again from China House. But next time, I’m going to McDonald’s across the street.

We thought we’d give it a try because years ago they had really good food not so much now the rice was so dark it must have been in old oil or a lot of soy sauce the rest of are meals had very little vegetables at all we ate it but we won’t be going back there ever again I know of places that are a lot better & less expensive too Disappointing
