About China Harbor
China Harbor, a Chinese Restaurant situated at 3512 S Cooper St in Arlington, Texas, offers a diverse dining experience that appears to include buffet service. With contact phone numbers (817) 466-3888 and +1 817-466-3888, China Harbor aims to provide a range of Chinese-American dishes to the local community. Based on the limited customer reviews available, the restaurant seems to offer a significant variety of food, including seafood and desserts, particularly during special occasions like Thanksgiving. However, some concerns have been raised regarding the freshness of certain food items and the temperature of the dining environment.
One customer who visited China Harbor on Thanksgiving reported a positive experience, highlighting the "lot of options" available on the buffet. This suggests that the restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes, catering to different tastes and preferences, especially during holiday periods. The reviewer also noted that the food was served hot and included seafood and desserts, indicating a comprehensive buffet offering that extends beyond standard Chinese fare. Furthermore, this customer praised the waitress they had as "great," suggesting that at least some members of the service staff are friendly and efficient, contributing positively to the dining experience. Overall, this reviewer found their visit to be "worth going to," indicating a satisfactory experience.
In contrast, another customer provided a more mixed review of China Harbor. While they commended the waiter as "so friendly and polite," they expressed significant concerns about the freshness of the food. Specifically, they described the fried rice as "mushy and cold" and the orange chicken as "hard to bite into." These comments raise questions about the quality and preparation of some of the staple Chinese dishes offered at the restaurant. The issue of food being served at an inappropriate temperature (cold fried rice) and having an undesirable texture (hard orange chicken, mushy rice) can greatly detract from the dining experience.
Interestingly, the second reviewer gave a "big thumbs up" to the crawfish, describing them as "so delicious." This suggests that China Harbor might specialize in or do a particularly good job with certain seafood items, which could be a draw for customers who enjoy crawfish. This positive feedback on a specific dish indicates that the restaurant has the potential to deliver high-quality food, although consistency across all offerings might be an area for improvement.
An unusual aspect mentioned by the second reviewer is the temperature inside the restaurant, stating, "if you eat here bring a jacket cause it's freezing in there." This suggests that the dining environment might be uncomfortably cold for some patrons, which can negatively impact their overall experience, regardless of the food and service. Maintaining a comfortable temperature is an important aspect of restaurant ambiance, and a consistently cold environment could be a deterrent for some customers.
Finally, the second reviewer also noted that the fruit available was "frozen hard," making it difficult to eat and not exactly fresh. This further reinforces the concerns about the freshness and quality control of certain food items at China Harbor. Serving frozen fruit in a buffet setting is generally undesirable and can indicate a lack of attention to detail in food preparation and storage.
Based on these two reviews, China Harbor appears to be a Chinese Restaurant in Arlington, TX, that offers a buffet with a wide variety of options, including seafood and desserts, especially noted during holidays. The service from at least one waiter was highly praised for being friendly and polite. However, there are significant concerns regarding the freshness and quality of some of the food items, such as the fried rice and orange chicken. On the other hand, the crawfish were highlighted as being delicious. Additionally, the dining environment seems to be notably cold, and the fruit served was reportedly frozen.
The limited information does not provide details about the restaurant's specific decor or ambiance beyond the reported cold temperature. As a buffet-style establishment, the focus is likely on functionality and the efficient serving of a large quantity of food. Information regarding private dining areas, the overall capacity, or any unique design features is not available. Similarly, details about services beyond the dine-in buffet, such as takeout or delivery options, are not mentioned in these reviews. It is possible that China Harbor offers these services, but the current feedback does not confirm this.
Furthermore, there is no information about specific promotional offers or features that might distinguish China Harbor from other Chinese restaurants in the area. Details about pricing for the buffet at different times (lunch vs. dinner), any discounts for seniors or children, or special promotions on certain days are not mentioned. To obtain such information, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly.
In conclusion, China Harbor in Arlington, TX, offers a Chinese buffet with a seemingly extensive selection, including seafood and desserts, and has at least some staff members who provide friendly service. However, potential customers should be aware of reported issues regarding the freshness and quality of certain food items like fried rice and orange chicken, as well as the potentially cold dining environment and the serving of frozen fruit. The positive feedback on the crawfish suggests that certain dishes might be of higher quality. Local users considering dining at China Harbor might want to weigh the positive aspects of variety and friendly service against the reported inconsistencies in food freshness and the uncomfortable temperature of the restaurant. Further investigation or more recent reviews might provide a clearer overall picture of the current dining experience at China Harbor.

Customer Reviews
Just went there for Thanksgiving š they had a lot of options. The food was hot and seafood and desserts. The waitress we had was great! Worth going to!
Overall I give them a 3 star even though the waiter was so friendly and polite the food just wasn't fresh. The fried rice was mushy and cold, the orange chicken was hard to bite into. I do give them a big thumbs up on there craw fish, they were so delicious, if you eat here bring a jacket cause it's freezing in there also the fruit was frozen hard, they were hard to bite into and not exactly fresh
Yesterday, when I went, I got a couple of pieces of onion rings, and it tasted like it was stale. My son didn't finish his garlic bread because it was greasy. The sushi didn't taste as fresh as it should be since there were 2 guys there that i guess prepare it.. I saw them on their phojes sitting, and I really do hope they washed their hands before making food. Besides that, the server lady was so nice and sweet, and the rest of the menu was pretty good.
This place was the worst everything was cold I personally went around and looked an didnāt find anything that was fresh and hot so I tried the so called stir fry area to hopefully get something hot but all the meat looked old like it had been sitting there I told them about the chicken on a stick she said OH WE DEEP FRY thereās a big difference between deep fried and COLD!!! Next time Iāll just stick to my gut an goto KING BUFFET atleast itās fresh food.
The food is typical of a Chinese buffet. It is not great, but it is quick and good. The real problem is the servers. The resterant is using servers that cannot understand nor speak English. What the hell??? Needless to say they probably do it as they are very cheap labor and 95% of the customers are Hispanic. I hate to say it but I often wonder what would happen if a group of INS officers came in there to eat!!! This could be a great place to eat if they would make sure all the employees could speak English. I even went to the hibachi section, tried to ask a question and they said No habla english.........REALLY!!!!!
