About China Harbor

Welcome to China Harbor, your local Chinese Restaurant located at 801 E William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78745. As a Chinese Restaurant specializing in buffet service, we strive to offer a satisfying and diverse dining experience at an affordable price of around $14 plus tax.

Customers have consistently praised the quality and temperature of our food, noting that dishes are kept hot and promptly refilled when needed. We take pride in maintaining a clean and appealing environment for our guests to enjoy their meals comfortably.

Our buffet boasts a wide selection of items to cater to various tastes. Beyond traditional Chinese entrees and noodle dishes, you can also find a sushi section, Mexican snacks, and a tempting array of desserts. This variety ensures there's something for everyone to enjoy.

At China Harbor, we are committed to providing friendly and helpful service. Our staff is attentive to your needs, and we encourage you to remember to tip your server for their service. We even offer the opportunity to sample the buffet before making a purchase, as mentioned by one appreciative customer.

While we utilize styrofoam plates, this is a measure implemented to manage the large volume of plates that would otherwise be used, with some customers taking excessive amounts of food. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Overall, China Harbor aims to provide a good dining experience with decent food and friendly staff at a reasonable price. We invite you to visit us and explore the variety our buffet has to offer. For any inquiries, please contact us at (512) 707-8299 or +1 512-707-8299.

I have been to 3 different Chinese restaurants and this is by far the best one. Food was hot and they continued to fill when it was empty. Very clean and appealing

Everything what you ask for $14 + tax Chinese buffet. People are nuts to ask too much for what you pay. Could do a little bit more cleaning for the place but it was not bad. We had a good time, decent food, friendly staff. The styrofoam plate is expected, but I understand why they do it. People took tremendous amount of plates and don’t even finish their foods. That would be a lot of dishes to wash. A lady that seems to be a manager or owner was nice enough to let us try the sample before purchasing the buffet. That was appreciated. We left full they got fried foods, snacks, entrees, noodle section, sushi, Mexican snacks, and dessert. Don’t forget to tip the server too!

I have never given a resteraunt a bad review, but I feel strongly that the public needs to be warned that this was a terrible experience. While the resteraunt seemed fairly clean, everything tasted terrible, including the water and tea. Everything left a terrible taste in your mouth, as if it was all boiled or cooked in old dirty water. The rice, egg drop soup, water, tea, noodles, and wonton soup were disgusting. There was not a very big assortment of entrees, and what was served was bland and watered down. The baked salmon was very fishy, and the sushi was warm. The sushi rice was terrible, and I've never really had bad sushi rice before. I would definitely avoid this resteraunt at all costs. The restrooms were so gross that my boys decided they would wait until we got down the road to clean up.

Ok, I had tried this place years ago before COVID and I remembered it was decent. However, fast forward to today. This place has gone to hell. It's dirty, feels dingy and the air isnt fresh. All of their paper goods are stowed in a dark corner. I don't remember paying first either. They have now gone to Styrofoam plates and plasticware. They are of very low quality that you can't even eat right. I had to ask if they had silverware, so they did provide that. She (manager) said they knew it was a problem and "they're working on it". Yeah, and I'm a size zero lady. Anywho, food was cold and dry. They have also added things like roasted jalapeños and some taco thing. May I mention this is Chinese food, not Mexican buffet? Over-all if you're going there, bring your own utensils. I keep chickfil-A forks in my car which seem better quality than what they give you here. Perhaps if we continue to voice our options, they will make a change. Don't come here expecting good food because they definitely use a lot of breading to their fried items.

Not as expected at all, you pay first (has it always been this way?), decided to try a little variety (even items I'd not normally eat) to give a better review. Food was a 2 out 5, all of the food I tried was cold or lukewarm, rice sticky, noodles not done/chewy, decided to try desserts...dry/no flavor, lots of options though (only reason for my 2 out of 5 for food), buffet area not up to par with cleanliness, food mixed up and no one switching items out, the area for ice cream..not appealing at all, area not clean and flavors mixed together, paper plates and plastic silverware provided (and not the best/cheap), servers were going around and wiping off tables as people left, bathroom was clean.
