About China Grill

China Grill is a Chinese restaurant situated at 1043 Yadkinville Rd in Mocksville, North Carolina. Located in a smaller town, it currently stands as an option for local residents seeking Chinese cuisine. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of China Grill based on recent feedback from customers who have experienced its offerings.

Based on the available reviews, the environment and atmosphere of China Grill are not specifically described. Therefore, potential customers would need to visit the location to form their own impression of the dining space. However, the strong emphasis in the reviews is on the food and service aspects of the restaurant.

The service at China Grill has been a significant point of concern for recent customers. Multiple reviewers have described the woman at the counter as rude and displaying a negative attitude towards patrons. One reviewer stated that the counter staff acted as if customers were wasting their time simply by walking in. Another echoed this sentiment, noting that the same rudeness had been apparent over several years. This consistently negative feedback regarding customer service is an important factor for potential diners to consider.

Regarding the food quality, the recent reviews paint a largely unfavorable picture. Customers have described the food as bland and greasy. One reviewer specifically mentioned ordering three basic entrees that were served with crunchy, dried-out, day-old rice. Another highlighted a spring roll, for which they paid extra, as being soaked in grease and falling apart. These descriptions suggest potential issues with the freshness, preparation, and overall quality of the dishes offered at China Grill.

A particularly unusual aspect reported by one customer was the apparent lack of beverages available at the restaurant. According to the review, China Grill had "no drinks," including soda cans or fountain drinks. This absence of standard drink options for a restaurant is a significant point that potential customers should be aware of, as it could impact their dining experience.

Pricing and billing accuracy have also been areas of concern for customers. One reviewer recounted being presented with a bill that was significantly higher than expected based on the menu prices, with no clear explanation provided for the discrepancy. This experience raises questions about the transparency and accuracy of their billing practices. The same reviewer also compared the prices unfavorably to those in larger metropolitan areas known for higher costs of living, further emphasizing the perceived overpricing relative to the quality received.

Based on the overwhelmingly negative recent feedback, customers have expressed strong dissatisfaction with their experiences at China Grill. One reviewer explicitly labeled their meal as a "scam with a side of attitude" and stated their intention to dispute the charge and never return. Another, a former long-time customer who had not visited for years, reported that both the rude service and the horrible, bland food remained unchanged, only giving a two-star rating because the egg roll was "good and hot."

It is important to note that the provided information is based on only two recent customer reviews, both of which are highly critical. While these reviews offer direct experiences of recent patrons, they may not represent the views of all customers or the restaurant's historical performance. However, the consistency in the negative feedback regarding both service and food quality warrants careful consideration for potential diners.

Given the limited and negative nature of the recent reviews, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special features that China Grill might currently provide. Potential customers would need to inquire directly with the restaurant about any such offerings.

In conclusion, the recent customer feedback for China Grill in Mocksville, NC, raises significant concerns regarding the quality of the food, the level of customer service, and potentially the pricing and availability of basic amenities like drinks. While it is positioned as a local Chinese restaurant in a smaller town, the experiences shared by recent patrons suggest that there may be considerable room for improvement in both the culinary offerings and the customer interactions. Individuals considering dining at China Grill should be aware of these recent negative reviews and may want to weigh them carefully before making a decision. It might be prudent to seek more up-to-date information or alternative dining options if available in the area.

The only thing worse than the food is the attitude. China Grill is unfortunately the only Chinese restaurant in this small town — and they act like they know it. We ordered three basic entrees, were hit with a $43 bill (should've been $32 even by their overpriced menu and she couldn't explain why), and got served bland, greasy food with crunchy, dried-out day old rice. The spring roll I paid extra for was soaked in grease and falling apart. And get this — they had no drinks. Not a soda can or fountain drink in sight. How do you call yourself a restaurant with no drinks?? The woman at the counter was beyond rude, like we were wasting her time just by walking in. This wasn’t a meal — it was a scam with a side of attitude. I've paid less in Raleigh and Seattle for 10x better food. We’re disputing the charge and will never be back. If you’re thinking of trying China Grill, do yourself a favor: just stay hungry.

When I went here I expected it to be at least edible. The rice was old the veggies were shriveled my chicken tasted rancid like the grease was so old. I do not recommend this place. The woman at the front is rude and unwelcoming and the store is old and rundown. As much as they overcharge for subpar food you would think they could afford to at least have the place cleaned up if they can't do it themselves. How this place can pass an inspection is beyond me. Zero stars is what they deserve.

I called and asked the owner could I have my dumplings replaced, I'm allergic to pork.. and it didn't specify whether the dumplings were chicken or pork on her menu.. she wouldn't let me bring it back or get a replacement for anything else.. I wasted $10 and she told me it was my fault! Highly don't recommend! She does not have great customer service at all! It's very sad. Just worried about a buck. Never ordering from her again.
