About China Go
Welcome to China Go, a Chinese restaurant situated at 3700 N Woodlawn Blvd in Wichita, Kansas (67226, USA). As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, China Go aims to provide a range of Chinese dishes for the community. You can contact them at (316) 691-8888 or +1 316-691-8888 for inquiries or to place an order.
Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at China Go appear to be somewhat varied. One customer who came in for a quick lunch expressed positive feedback, highlighting the friendly and fast service. They also appreciated supporting a family business. The portion size was noted to be generous, providing enough food for both lunch and dinner. The food was described as hot and generally good, although a bit "bland" for this particular reviewer, who also mentioned they did not request any additional spice or heat. This positive experience led the reviewer to state they would "definitely be coming back."
In a supplemental comment, this same reviewer recommended ordering in person rather than online, as it was reportedly cheaper. They also reiterated the friendliness of the owners and staff and confirmed that the portion sizes remained large. This suggests that China Go might offer better value for customers who dine in or place takeout orders directly at the restaurant.
However, another customer had a significantly negative experience, expressing strong dissatisfaction with their visit. Their review began with a critical remark about the establishment not being "really meant for sitting and eating," suggesting that the dining area might be less than ideal or comfortable. They also raised concerns about the quality of the food, stating that "everything went down hill from entering the establishment." Specific issues mentioned included the egg rolls tasting "like a dirty mop" and the meat being "slightly undercooked." The reviewer sarcastically added that the undercooked meat was "no new news there," implying a potential recurring issue.
Furthermore, this negative review indicated a limited selection of dishes, with the feeling that there wasn't "much to choose from besides what they want you to eat." The cost of the meal for three people was reported to be $60 with the tip, which the reviewer seemed to find high given their overall negative experience. Finally, they noted that the restaurant closed shortly after their arrival for dinner at 7:30 PM, as they were leaving at 8:00 PM. This could indicate relatively short dinner hours or perhaps an early closing time on the day of their visit.
Considering these contrasting reviews, the environment of China Go is described differently by the two reviewers. One did not comment extensively on the ambiance, focusing more on the service and food. The other explicitly stated that the establishment was "not really meant for sitting and eating," suggesting a less comfortable or primarily takeout-oriented setting. Potential customers might want to consider this discrepancy and perhaps manage their expectations regarding the dine-in experience.
The services offered by China Go appear to include both dine-in and takeout. The first reviewer specifically came in for lunch, and the second mentioned dining in for dinner. The supplemental comment also suggests that ordering in person for takeout might be a better option in terms of cost. The speed of service was highlighted as "fast" by one reviewer, which could be a positive aspect for those looking for a quick meal. However, the early closing time mentioned by the negative reviewer could be a factor for those planning to dine later in the evening.
Features of China Go include being a family-owned business, which some customers may prefer to support. The portion sizes are consistently described as "great" and "huge," indicating good value in terms of quantity of food. However, the quality of the food seems to be inconsistent, with one reviewer finding it "good" (though a little bland) and the other reporting significant issues with the taste and preparation of specific items like egg rolls and meat. The limited menu selection mentioned in the negative review could also be a feature to consider for those looking for a wide variety of options. The price point, while deemed reasonable by one for the quantity, was considered high by another in light of the quality and overall experience.
There is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. It is common for Chinese restaurants to offer lunch specials or combination meals, but there is no indication of such offers at China Go in the given text. The supplemental comment about in-person ordering being cheaper than online ordering could be considered a form of implicit pricing information, suggesting a potential cost-saving strategy for customers who visit the restaurant directly.
In conclusion, China Go in Wichita, KS, is a family-owned Chinese restaurant that offers dine-in and takeout services. It is known for its friendly and fast service and generous portion sizes. However, customer experiences with the food quality and the dining environment appear to be mixed, with one reviewer praising the food (albeit noting it was a bit bland) and the other reporting significant issues with taste and preparation. There is also a suggestion that the dine-in setting might not be ideal. Ordering in person may be more cost-effective than ordering online. Potential customers should consider these varying perspectives when deciding whether to visit China Go. For specific information on their menu, hours of operation, and any current promotions, contacting the restaurant directly at (316) 691-8888 or +1 316-691-8888 is recommended.

Came in to grab a quick lunch. Love supporting a family business! Service was friendly, fast and got food quickly. The portion size was great (enough for lunch and dinner), was hot and good (a little “bland” but I didn’t ask for any heat). Will definitely be coming back! Supplemental: Would recommend coming in and not ordering online cause it is cheaper to order in person. Owners and staff were friendly as usual and portions are still huge!
China Go more like china NO ! Went to get some great food and everything went down hill from entering the establishment not realy ment for siting and eating to the quality and food issues... and the cost was 60 with tip for 3 people. Egg rolls taste like a dirty mop meat was slightly undercooked but no new news there. Nothing much to choose from besides what they want you to eat... We came in for dinner at 7:30 ... leaving at 8 they just closed.
Absolutely delicious food and SAFE from cross contamination for celiac fam in my experience. Took time to cook my food separately and clean! Even offered me gluten free soy sauce, I’ve missed having a safe spot for Chinese food! And the amount you get is a LOT of bang for your buck. Very affordable, I’m so happy to have found this.
These questions that are asked are silly because this is a place to pick up food and eat at home. There are a few tables but no atmosphere at all! China GO! Excuse me it's in the title people! The food is what ypu are coming for. Fresh ingredients very tasty. They are very careful about people who have celiac disease.and have quite a few dishes they can make for you. Friendly counter people to wait on you. What more could you want? Win, win!
The WonTon soup is to die for. Most places you get a bowl of broth with a few won tons in it and sparce vegetables. This one is packed to to bottom shih fresh crisp vegetables, lots of soon tons and it is seasoned just right and boiling hot. It will arrive at home still to hot to eat. If a light healthy soup is your wish, this is it
