About China Garden Restaurant

Welcome to the online introduction of China Garden Restaurant, situated at 111 Sparkleberry Ln, Columbia, SC 29229, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese restaurant category, China Garden aims to provide Chinese culinary options to the community. They can be contacted at (803) 865-5288 or via their mobile number, +1 803-865-5288.

China Garden Restaurant operates as a Chinese restaurant, which typically involves offering a menu of dishes rooted in Chinese culinary traditions. This usually includes a variety of meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetable dishes, along with staples like fried rice and noodles. However, based on the limited customer feedback available, it is challenging to ascertain the full extent and specific nature of their menu offerings. Potential customers might expect to find common Chinese-American dishes, but it is advisable to contact the restaurant directly or consult online menus (if available) for a comprehensive understanding of their culinary offerings.

Regarding the environment of China Garden Restaurant, the provided customer reviews do not offer any direct descriptions of the physical ambiance or decor of the establishment. One review does mention a negative service experience, which might indirectly suggest an environment that is not conducive to a positive dining experience. However, without specific details about the interior design, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere, it is not possible to provide an objective assessment of the restaurant's environment. Local users seeking information about the dining atmosphere may need to visit the location themselves or look for additional reviews that might comment on these aspects.

In terms of services, the reviews primarily focus on the quality of service received. One customer explicitly stated, "the service was horrible.. they don’t care about your business." This is a significant piece of feedback indicating a potentially negative service experience, characterized by a lack of attentiveness or care for customers. The reviewer also mentioned an incident where a plate was dropped by a staff member who then "disappeared," further underscoring the poor service encountered. This suggests that prospective customers might need to be prepared for potentially subpar service if they choose to dine at or order from China Garden Restaurant. It is unclear from the provided information whether China Garden offers dine-in, takeout, or delivery services. Given the negative service review, it would be prudent for local users to inquire about the available service options and what to expect in terms of customer interaction.

The features of China Garden Restaurant, as perceived through the lens of the available customer reviews, are largely negative. One reviewer highlighted issues with the food quality, describing their beef and broccoli dish as having "maybe 4 pieces of beef" for a price of $17.00, which they deemed "subpar." The house fried rice was also criticized for containing only a few pieces of shrimp and minimal amounts of chicken and pork. This feedback suggests that the portion sizes of certain ingredients might be inadequate relative to the price, and the overall quality of the food might not meet expectations. Another significant feature, or rather a point of concern, raised by a different reviewer is the issue of potential overcharging. This customer claimed that they were being charged "almost $6 more for nothing" even after accounting for extra tax, and that "the prices on the menu is not what they’re charging." This is a serious allegation that potential customers should be aware of and heed the advice to "add up your total before you go" and to "report them!" if discrepancies are found. These reviews do not point to any particularly positive or unique features of the restaurant; instead, they highlight significant shortcomings in food quality, portion sizes, and pricing transparency.

Regarding promotional information, the provided customer reviews do not mention any ongoing promotions or special offers at China Garden Restaurant. It is common for restaurants to have lunch specials, combination deals, or discounts on certain days or for specific order amounts. However, without any such information in the reviews, it is impossible to comment on any promotional activities that China Garden might be engaged in. Local users interested in finding out about potential deals or discounts would need to contact the restaurant directly or check if they have any online platforms where such information might be advertised.

In conclusion, the limited customer feedback available for China Garden Restaurant in Columbia, SC, paints a concerning picture. One reviewer experienced horrible service and subpar food with disproportionately low amounts of key ingredients for the price paid. Another reviewer raised serious allegations of overcharging, claiming that the actual prices were significantly higher than those listed on the menu. These negative experiences should be carefully considered by local users contemplating dining at or ordering from China Garden Restaurant. There is no information provided about the restaurant's environment, and the service is described as "horrible" by one customer. The features, based on these reviews, are negative, focusing on poor food quality, inadequate portions for the price, and potential overcharging. No promotional information is available. Given these significant concerns raised by customers, it would be advisable for potential patrons to exercise caution, perhaps seek more recent reviews from various sources, and consider verifying prices before placing an order. Contacting the restaurant directly at (803) 865-5288 might provide further clarity on their current menu and pricing, but the existing feedback suggests a need for caution.

Avoid this place.. the service was horrible.. they don’t care about your business. The food was subpar.. I ordered beef and broccoli, house fried rice and extra egg.. I got maybe 4 pieces of beef and it was $17.00! The guy knew it was subpar.. he dropped the plate and disappeared.. house fried rice had a few shrimp.. slither or two of chicken and pork… won’t go here again and recommend you don’t either!

Very rude Chinese lady and staff. Bad attitude even when saying hello, food is average like any other spot. Go to another Chinese restaurant that will respect everyone spending money to keep them alive, won't be back

I am rating the service low here because I ordered General Tso shrimp and received chicken. By the time I realized it, of course I was home and it's really annoying to order one thing and get something else. I never eat chicken from a Chinese restaurant, so complete bust for me. The place wasn't busy, so not sure why my order was wrong. The dumplings were nothing special, reminded me of the ones that I buy from the freezer section. I'm done trying Chinese food in the South, it's all too sweet and poor quality.
