Online reviews can offer valuable perspectives on various aspects of a restaurant, including the quality of the food, the service provided, and any specific policies or features that might be relevant to your dining decision. Examining a range of feedback can contribute to a more well-rounded understanding.

Based on the customer reviews available for China Garden Restaurant, there are a few key points that stand out. One reviewer mentions a concern regarding the sodium content in the gravy, suggesting it might be high enough to potentially affect blood pressure. This is an important consideration for individuals who are mindful of their sodium intake or have health conditions related to blood pressure.

Another customer provides a more general positive comment about the food being "good." This suggests that many patrons may find the taste and quality of the dishes to be satisfactory. This same reviewer also highlights a crucial piece of information regarding payment: China Garden Restaurant operates on a "CASH ONLY" basis for in-person orders. However, they also note an exception, stating that online orders can be paid through other means. This is a vital piece of information for anyone planning to visit the restaurant, as it indicates the need to have cash on hand unless ordering online.

In addition to their regular menu offerings, China Garden Restaurant appears to provide catering services, particularly for parties. The review mentions that they do "pans for parties" and that customers can bring their own pan to the restaurant to be filled with a dish. The price for this service is determined at the restaurant. The reviewer shares a positive anecdote about bringing a pan of orange chicken to a color-themed party, which was very well-received, indicated by the pan being "scraped" clean. This suggests that their dishes are popular and that their catering service could be a convenient option for local events and gatherings.

Considering these points, China Garden Restaurant on Erdman Avenue seems to be a local establishment that offers reasonably well-received Chinese cuisine. However, potential customers should be aware of their cash-only policy for in-person orders and the reported high sodium content in at least one of their sauces. On the positive side, they offer catering services for parties, which has been met with positive feedback regarding the popularity of their dishes.

As a Chinese restaurant, China Garden likely offers a standard menu of popular Chinese-American dishes. For local users planning to dine at or order from China Garden Restaurant, it would be wise to remember the cash-only policy if you intend to pay in person. If you are concerned about sodium content, you might want to inquire about the ingredients and preparation of specific dishes before ordering. If you have an upcoming event or party, their catering service, where you can bring your own pan, could be a convenient and well-received option.

The gravy has so much sodium in it that it can make your blood pressure sky high.

Food is good. Just know CASH ONLY unless you order online! They also do pans for parties. Bring your own pan and they will tell you the price. I attended a color theme party and brought a pan of orange chicken. They were scraping the pan!

I just started ordering from them a few months ago haven't had a bad order. What I usually get is shrimp and broccoli egg foo young egg rolls and crab sticks 4 wings. This time I got my crab sticks it was a strip of plastic in the crab stick. I'm blown away by this. I spend anywhere from $35 to $60 here.
