About China Garden Restaurant

China Garden Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 800 164th St SE, Mill Creek, WA 98012, USA. As a "Chinese Restaurant," China Garden offers a variety of dishes, and it is noted as a family-run establishment, which often implies a welcoming and personal touch to the dining experience. You can contact them by phone at (425) 745-2321 or their mobile number +1 425-745-2321.

The platform category "Chinese Restaurant" encompasses a wide spectrum of dining places that serve food inspired by Chinese culinary traditions. These restaurants typically offer a menu that includes appetizers, soups, a range of main courses featuring different meats, seafood, and vegetables, as well as rice and noodle dishes. Family-run restaurants often have a loyal customer base due to their consistent quality, friendly service, and a sense of community.

Based on the available customer reviews, we can gather some insights into the environment, services, and features of China Garden Restaurant. One reviewer described the service as "friendly and very welcoming," which aligns with the notion of a family-run establishment where personal attention to customers is often a priority. Another reviewer mentioned that the "service is nice" and the "ambience is average," suggesting a comfortable but perhaps not particularly extravagant setting.

In terms of services, China Garden Restaurant offers dine-in service, allowing customers to enjoy their meals at the restaurant. The positive comments about the service indicate a pleasant and attentive dining experience. While not explicitly stated, it is highly probable that they also offer takeout service, catering to customers who prefer to enjoy their food at home or elsewhere. Delivery service might be available, either directly or through third-party platforms, but this is not mentioned in the provided reviews.

The features of China Garden Restaurant are reflected in the dishes that were reviewed. The egg flower soup received positive feedback for being "very rich in flavour and HOT (temperature)." This suggests that their soups might be a highlight. However, the steamed bun (hum bao) was described as "just okay" and lacking sweetness in the bun itself, with the BBQ pork filling being more shredded and having little flavour, although it was served hot. This indicates some variability in the quality and flavour profiles of their appetizer offerings.

The main meal experienced by one reviewer was described as "nice," suggesting a satisfactory quality in their main courses, although no specific dish was mentioned. The egg roll was noted as not being homemade and having a slightly soggy texture to the vegetables, implying the use of frozen ingredients for this particular item. The sweet and sour pork was considered "good" but with a somewhat heavy breading and the sauce served on the side. The Mongolian beef was "prepared nice" but was a little too salty for one reviewer's taste. Despite the saltiness, this reviewer felt they should have rated the overall experience higher, initially considering two stars but feeling it deserved three.

One reviewer mentioned that everything they ordered was "really good," offering a more positive overall assessment of the food quality. This suggests that the experience might vary depending on individual preferences and the specific dishes ordered.

Regarding value, one reviewer felt that $17 for their entire meal, which included the hum bao (priced at $10), was a "bargain" and would definitely recommend the restaurant overall. They also suggested that white rice might be a better accompaniment than fried rice to absorb any potential saltiness in some dishes. This indicates that China Garden Restaurant might offer reasonably priced meals, providing good value for money.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for China Garden Restaurant in the provided reviews. Family-run restaurants might occasionally offer specials or promotions, but these are not mentioned in the feedback. To learn about any current promotions, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly or check local listings or any online presence they might have.

In summary, China Garden Restaurant in Mill Creek, WA, is a family-run Chinese eatery that offers a welcoming and friendly service. The ambience is described as average, suggesting a comfortable and unpretentious dining environment. The food reviews are mixed, with positive comments on the egg flower soup and overall satisfaction with the main meal and value. However, there were criticisms regarding the flavour and texture of the steamed bun, BBQ pork, and egg roll, as well as a note about the Mongolian beef being a bit salty. Despite these mixed points, one reviewer found everything they ordered to be really good, and another felt the meal was a bargain and would recommend the restaurant. Potential customers should consider these varied experiences and might find certain dishes to be stronger than others. The family-run aspect and friendly service seem to be consistent positives. For those in the Mill Creek area looking for a Chinese restaurant with a personal touch and reasonable prices, China Garden Restaurant is worth considering, perhaps with the understanding that some dishes might be better received than others.

Family run restaurant. Friendly and very welcoming. Egg flower soup was very rich in flavour and HOT (temperature). Steamed bun was just okay. Not much flavour. Bun it self should have a little sweetness this lacked that. BBQ port was more shredded pork and little flavour. Served hot! Main meal was nice. Egg roll was not home made and veggies had definitely a frozen (little soggy) texture. Sweet and sour pork was good. Little heavily breaded sauce on the side. Mongolian beef prepared nice a little salty for my taste. I asked for 2 stars and I really should have had three. Over all $17 for the entire meal (hum bao $10) was a bargain. I'd definitely recommend it over all. Maybe white rice in place of fried would be better to absorb the saltiness.

Better than Panda Express. All meals cooked to order & greater selection. Can be a bit inconsistent. Their ala carte WonTon Soup & Hot & Sour Soup are very good. Recommend especially the Lunch Special: Monday-Friday 11:00am-2:30pm. Approx. $12 total. Now back to in-person dining, plus "self" take-out (preferred over delivery, for best experience). Interior/decor could use a refresh. Long-time family-owned business near BE Hwy & 164th St in Mill Creek. Easy access & plenty of free parking.

I’ve been coming here for years. I ordered the appetizer sampler & it was not fully cooked. The honey prawns were a little chewy & you only get a few of them compared to before. Chicken low main was fine. The almond chicken was dry. The flavors were all off & the oil definitely needs to be changed. Very very expensive.
