About China Garden

China Garden is a Chinese Restaurant located at 802 W Erie Ave in Philadelphia, PA. They can be contacted at (215) 228-0278 or their mobile number +1 215-228-0278.

Customer reviews for China Garden indicate a decline in food quality compared to the past. One long-time customer mentioned that while their bistec empanado is still decent (though less flavorful than before) and the tostones used to be better (now described as chewy and hard), a recent order of pork fried rice with boneless spare ribs was just "ok," lacking flavor and being chewy. This reviewer did note that the cheesesteak rolls and pizza rolls are good.

In contrast, another recent review was overwhelmingly negative, stating the food was "nasty." This customer described the chicken in the sesame chicken and General Tso's chicken as hard and overcooked, suggesting it was precooked and reheated. The fried rice was also described as hard, and even the shrimp roll was deemed nasty. The broccoli was the only item that received a single star. This reviewer was so dissatisfied that they threw the food away and anticipated feeling ill from it.

As a Chinese restaurant serving the Philadelphia area, China Garden has received recent feedback suggesting significant issues with food quality and consistency. While some items like the bistec empanado and certain rolls have been mentioned positively, other core dishes have been heavily criticized for being overcooked, lacking flavor, and having poor texture. Potential local customers should carefully consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to dine at China Garden.

These chinos back in the day never used to miss!! Their bistec empanado is still good though (even though I feel like back in the day it used to be much flavorful). The tostones as well, they used to be nice and soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside (now they was chewy and hard). I ordered a platter of pork friend rice w/ boneless spare ribs and It was ok (Lacked in flavor and it was chewy) The cheesesteak rolls and pizza rolls are good though !!!

Horrible. I haven't eaten here in awhile, but when I did it was maybe 2x a month. Today I ordered and it was horrible. I order wings and tostones. Looks like they refried the tostones, wings look like the oil was very old. General tso chicken didn't even taste like General tso. Never again. Food went right in the trash.

Use to be my one my fav. Ive been going to Luis ( original location) since the early 90s. Only by accident i found out they reopened a new location about 2 years back. Things were good but the last few months almost every time i go the rice is stale/old tasting. The wings and tostones still seem to be good for the most part...The rice has been iffy the last few months. Edit..They seem to have worked out the old rice part and things have been good the last few months...
