About China Garden

China Garden, located at 112 Old Hwy 74 #76 in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina (NC 28450), USA, falls under the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant," indicating that it serves a variety of dishes commonly found in Chinese cuisine. You can contact them by phone at (910) 646-4888 or via their mobile number, +1 910-646-4888.

As a Chinese restaurant, China Garden likely offers a menu featuring popular items such as fried rice, noodle dishes, a variety of meat, poultry, and seafood preparations with different sauces and vegetables, as well as appetizers and soups. These establishments often cater to both dine-in and takeout customers, providing options for enjoying their meals at the restaurant or in the comfort of their own homes.

The available customer reviews present a somewhat mixed picture of the dining experience at China Garden. One reviewer shares a consistently positive experience over multiple visits, stating that "everything was great," with orders always being correct and the food consistently fresh and cooked perfectly. This positive feedback suggests that for some customers, China Garden provides a reliable and enjoyable dining experience.

However, another reviewer highlights a significant concern regarding order accuracy, particularly related to dietary restrictions or preferences. This customer specifically requested "NO mushrooms" in their Kung Pao chicken, based on their understanding that the dish, as prepared at China Garden, typically contains mushrooms (having ordered it previously). Despite being told that their Kung Pao chicken did not include mushrooms, the delivered dish contained them, as evidenced by a photo mentioned in the review. This indicates a potential issue with communication or adherence to specific order requests, which can be particularly problematic for customers with allergies or strong dislikes.

Considering these contrasting experiences, we can attempt to describe the environment, services, and features of China Garden based on the limited information available:

Environment: The reviews do not provide any specific details about the physical environment or ambiance of China Garden. As a local Chinese restaurant, it likely offers a casual dining area with tables and chairs for on-site customers. The decor might feature typical Chinese restaurant elements, but this cannot be confirmed based on the given information.

Services: Based on the customer reviews, the services offered by China Garden likely include:

  • Takeout: The negative review describes a "delivered dish," indicating that takeout service is available, and potentially delivery as well.
  • Dine-in: While not explicitly mentioned, it is standard for most Chinese restaurants to offer dine-in service for customers who wish to eat at the premises.
  • Order Customization (with potential for error): The negative review indicates that customers can make specific requests regarding ingredients (e.g., omitting mushrooms). However, the error in this case suggests that these requests may not always be accurately fulfilled.

Features: Based on the customer feedback, we can identify the following features of China Garden:

  • Generally Good Food Quality (according to one reviewer): One customer consistently found the food to be "great," fresh, and cooked perfectly over multiple visits.
  • Potential for Order Inaccuracy: The negative review highlights a significant issue with a specific ingredient request being ignored, leading to an incorrect order. This suggests a potential lack of attention to detail when processing customized orders.
  • Kung Pao Chicken with Mushrooms: According to one reviewer's experience, their Kung Pao chicken dish typically includes mushrooms, contrary to what they were told when placing their order. This is an important detail for customers who dislike or are allergic to mushrooms.
  • Inconsistency in Information Provided: The discrepancy between the customer's understanding of the Kung Pao chicken ingredients and the information they received when ordering suggests potential inconsistencies in the knowledge or communication of the staff regarding menu items.

Promotional Information: The provided reviews do not contain any information about current promotions, discounts, or special offers at China Garden. To learn about any such offers or specific menu items, it is recommended to contact the restaurant directly at (910) 646-4888 or +1 910-646-4888.

In conclusion, China Garden in Lake Waccamaw, NC, is a Chinese restaurant that has received both positive feedback regarding food quality and concerning feedback regarding order accuracy, particularly concerning dietary requests. While one customer consistently enjoyed their meals and found the service reliable, another experienced a significant error with a specific ingredient exclusion. Potential customers, especially those with allergies or strong preferences, should be mindful of the possibility of order inaccuracies. For general inquiries about their menu, services (including delivery), and any current promotions, contacting China Garden directly is advisable.

I asked for NO mushrooms in my Kung Pao chicken and was told that they didn’t put mushrooms in their Kung Pao chicken. I knew they did as that is what I order every time. As you can see in the photo below, they DO put mushrooms in this dish!! Usually their food is good but I really loathe mushrooms.
