About China Garden

Located at 190 E Dallas Rd in Stanley, NC, China Garden operates as a Chinese restaurant serving the local community. As a Chinese restaurant, it offers a variety of Chinese dishes for both takeout and potentially dine-in customers. However, recent customer reviews available online present significant concerns regarding both the quality of service and the value and composition of some of the food items.

Information regarding the environment of China Garden is not detailed in the provided customer reviews. Neither review mentions the ambiance, cleanliness, or decor of the restaurant. Therefore, an objective description of the environment cannot be provided based solely on this information. Local users interested in dining in may need to visit the location or inquire directly for more details about the atmosphere.

The services at China Garden include both takeout and likely dine-in, as one reviewer mentioned walking into the restaurant to place an order. The availability of phone numbers, (704) 263-8788 and +1 704-263-8788, suggests that customers can also place orders for pickup over the phone. However, one customer's experience highlights a significant issue with the attentiveness and attitude of at least one staff member during the order-taking process. This negative interaction impacted the customer's overall experience, even though they found the food to be delicious. The failure to include basic utensils like forks in a takeout order further indicates a lack of attention to detail in service.

Customer feedback on the food at China Garden is contradictory. One reviewer stated that the "food was delicious," which is a positive aspect. This suggests that the restaurant has the potential to provide tasty Chinese cuisine. However, the other review presents a starkly different perspective on a specific dish, the orange chicken. This customer reported receiving an order that contained a "total of one Chicken nugget" and was primarily composed of breading. They felt that the price of $7.85 for such a minimal amount of chicken was a "rip off" and expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the value of the meal. This significant discrepancy in the quality and composition of at least one menu item raises serious concerns about consistency and value for money at China Garden.

A major feature, albeit a negative one, highlighted in the reviews is the poor customer service experienced by at least one patron. The reviewer who found the food delicious also noted that the attendant taking their order displayed an "angry attitude," appeared impatient to finish her shift, and was generally unfriendly. This focus on negative service indicates a potential issue with staff training or attitude that could deter customers from returning, even if they find the food palatable. The lack of basic amenities like forks in a takeout order further underscores a lack of customer care.

The other significant feature, based on the second review, is the potentially very poor value and misleading composition of certain dishes, specifically the orange chicken in this instance. The overwhelming amount of breading compared to the minuscule amount of chicken suggests a significant imbalance and a lack of quality control for this particular menu item. This could be a major deterrent for customers seeking substantial and appropriately proportioned meals.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special deals at China Garden based on the provided reviews. Given the concerns raised about customer service and food quality and value, any promotions might not be sufficient to overcome these negative aspects for potential local users. Addressing the fundamental issues with service attitude and food preparation and value would likely be a higher priority for the restaurant to attract and retain customers.

In conclusion, China Garden in Stanley, NC, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While one customer found the food to be delicious, they also reported a negative experience with an unfriendly and inattentive staff member. The other review highlighted a significant issue with the orange chicken, which was described as being overwhelmingly breaded with a negligible amount of actual chicken, leading to a feeling of being ripped off. These reviews suggest potential inconsistencies in food quality and significant shortcomings in customer service and value for certain menu items. Local users considering China Garden should be aware of these recent experiences, as they indicate potential risks related to both the service they might receive and the quality and value of the food they order. Without more positive and consistent feedback, it is difficult to strongly recommend this establishment based on the currently available information.

I really love Chinese food, but when it comes to customer's service, it is one of the most important factors I look at for my reviews. The food can be extremely delicious, but when I am attended by someone who can't wait for the shift to be over to go home, and get easily irritated with an attitude, my desires to come back to the restaurant are diminished. Today, I walked into this restaurant and noticed that the attendant was taking my order with an angry attitude. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt for the reason she was upset but was a bad feeling. She wasn't friendly at all. Other than that, food was delicious. But I believe she would have to change her attitude towards customers. She didn't even put forks in the bag. Very sad

We drive 2 towns over to get their take-out Chinese. They are mostly takeout here!!! They got 3 or 4 small tables. The Restaurant is small,so my advice is to order ahead by phone so you can get in and out quickly!!! The food is consistently good and fresh!!! And has been for the last five+ year's.I personally recommend thier Boneless spare ribs!!!( Never overcooked) China Garden has my vote for best Chinese takeout in the county!!!!

The food at this place was not good at all! The chicken was undercooked and mostly breader. The breader on the chicken was not done and still wet dough! The rice tasted old and chewy. I saw them throw hot chicken and hot egg rolls straight from the grease into plastic containers. They also heated sauce in plastic in the microwave. Service and attitudes are terrible! We will not go back! I was told 10-15 mins and waited 25 mins!!

Excellent vegetarian and vegan fare. I grew up eating from this place before I was vegan and was so happy to find that I can eat there still as a vegan! The hot and spicy tofu is my favorite, nice and crisp on the outside with excellent flavor! Such good comfort food at reasonable prices
