About China Fun

Located at 7206 York Rd in Baltimore, Maryland, China Fun operates within the Chinese Restaurant category, providing takeout services to the local community. They can be contacted at (410) 321-4212 or +1 410-321-4212 to place orders. Customer reviews regarding China Fun present a somewhat contrasting picture, with differing experiences in terms of both service and food quality.

One customer reported a negative experience that began with a rushed and impolite phone interaction while placing an order. Despite this initial setback, the customer proceeded with the order, hoping the food would compensate for the poor service. Unfortunately, their disappointment continued with the food itself, which they described as very bland and lacking in flavor. Specifically, they noted that the hot and sour soup was not spicy at all. This negative experience led the customer to conclude that they would not order from China Fun again, expressing their disappointment and stating they remained hungry, even discarding their wonton soup.

Conversely, another customer shared a positive experience after ordering dinner from China Fun, noting that they had driven past the establishment many times before finally trying it. This customer placed their order online and received a call when it was ready for pickup. They described the lady at the counter as a "delight" and remarked that the restaurant seemed to be a family-run operation. The food itself received positive feedback, with the kung pao chicken being described as surprisingly good and the veggie fried rice as tasty and light. This customer concluded their review by recommending China Fun as being "more than your local Chinese place," suggesting a higher quality than typical takeout options.

Considering these two recent reviews, the experience at China Fun appears to be somewhat inconsistent. One customer encountered rude phone service and bland, unsatisfactory food, leading to a firm decision not to return. The other customer had a positive experience with online ordering, friendly in-person service, and enjoyable food, recommending the restaurant to others. These contrasting accounts suggest that individual experiences may vary.

Based on the available information, the environment of China Fun is not explicitly detailed. However, the mention of a counter for order pickup and the characterization as potentially a family-run shop might suggest a more modest, takeout-focused establishment rather than a large dine-in restaurant with elaborate ambiance. The positive reviewer's comment about it being "more than your local Chinese place" could imply a well-maintained or perhaps slightly more appealing interior than a basic takeout joint, but this is speculative.

The services offered by China Fun include takeout, as indicated by both reviews. One customer placed their order by phone, while the other utilized online ordering, suggesting that both options are available. The positive reviewer also mentioned receiving a call when their order was ready for pickup, indicating a system for notifying customers. The negative review focused on the poor phone service during order placement, highlighting the importance of friendly and efficient service regardless of the ordering method.

There is no specific promotional information mentioned in either of the provided reviews. The positive review implicitly promotes the restaurant by highlighting the good quality of the kung pao chicken and veggie fried rice, as well as the pleasant service at the counter. However, no discounts, special offers, or other promotional activities are mentioned.

In conclusion, China Fun in Baltimore presents a mixed profile based on recent customer feedback. While one customer experienced rude phone service and bland food, leading to a strong negative impression, another found the online ordering process smooth, the in-person service delightful, and the food surprisingly good. The restaurant offers takeout services and appears to be a family-run establishment. The quality of both the service and the food seems to be variable, and there is no information available regarding any current promotions. Local users considering ordering from China Fun may want to weigh these contrasting experiences and perhaps consider trying a small order initially to gauge whether it aligns with the positive or negative feedback provided.

Called to place the order to be rushed off the phone. Lady was very short with me & a little rude. Placed the order anyway, hoping the food was better than the service. Well, unfortunately the food was just as bad. Very bland. Lacking flavor. Hot and sour soup was not spicy at all. Honestly.. after this experience, I will never order from here again. So disappointed & still hungry. Threw my wonton soup out.

I ordered dinner here last night after driving past it many times, and it was a really great experience... I placed the order online and got a call when it was ready. The lady at the counter was a delight. Seems like a family-run shop. The kung-pow chicken was surprisingly good, and the veggie fried rice was tasty and light. Check this place out-- it's more than your local Chinese place

I bought Chinese food from them tonight and normally I get carry broccoli Yukimi with jumbo shrimp 🍤 they put entirely too much 🥵 red peppers in the curry sauce. I have gotten plenty of times that never taste like this before this was the worst. The lady who answered the phone tripped me disrespectfully.

THE BEST Chinese food I’ve had in a long long time. I’ve been on the hunt for a new place since I’ve moved to this area and Hunan Chef closed down :( but I am SO SO happy their menu landed on my doorstep. I love that the chicken is in small pieces because I hate having to work through a piece of chicken haha. The sauce is perfect, will be coming back a million times again!
