Based on recent customer feedback, China Fortune offers a varied menu that extends beyond traditional Chinese dishes to include sushi. One positive review highlighted the quality of their sushi and appreciated the complimentary offering of chips with a sweet and sour dip, describing it as a "nice touch." The reviewer also noted the presence of a bar area, which they found appealing, and mentioned that while the restaurant appeared somewhat quiet during their 5:30 PM visit, there was a significant volume of carry-out orders. This suggests that China Fortune is a popular choice for those looking to enjoy their meals at home. The reviewer expressed their intention to return and explore more of the sushi rolls, indicating a positive initial experience with this aspect of their menu. Their overall cost for a meal including sushi and a few beers was around $60, which they considered to be within the expected range.

However, it's important to acknowledge another recent review that paints a less favorable picture. This customer expressed significant disappointment, stating that the restaurant had "gone way downhill over the years" and described their recent meal as "inedible." They recounted a similar negative experience a few months prior but decided to give China Fortune another chance, as it was once a favorite. Specific dishes mentioned in this critical review include Pad Thai, which was described as a "lump of flavorless mush," wontons that were so overcooked that the crab filling was virtually non-existent, crispy beef that was "soggy and SALTY," and egg rolls that were "greasy and undercooked." Even the wonton soup noodles were reported to taste "old." This customer stated they spent $60 on their meal but would not be returning.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it appears that the experience at China Fortune can be inconsistent. While some customers have enjoyed aspects like the sushi and complimentary appetizers, others have reported significant issues with the quality and preparation of traditional Chinese dishes. Potential patrons should be aware of this mixed feedback when making their dining decisions.

China Fortune operates as a Chinese Restaurant, which typically implies a focus on a variety of Chinese culinary traditions, potentially including regional specialties. The addition of sushi to their menu indicates a broader Asian-inspired offering, catering to a wider range of tastes. The availability of both dine-in and takeout services provides flexibility for customers who wish to eat at the restaurant or enjoy their meals in the comfort of their own homes. The presence of a bar suggests that patrons can also enjoy alcoholic beverages with their meals.

Based on the information available, it is difficult to provide specific details about the restaurant's ambiance or any current promotional offers. The positive review mentions a pleasant bar area, suggesting that there is a designated space for enjoying drinks. The fact that there were many carry-out orders indicates that they efficiently handle off-premises dining. However, without more information, details about the décor, seating arrangements, or any ongoing specials remain unknown.

For local users in Charles Town and the surrounding areas looking for a Chinese restaurant that also offers sushi, China Fortune presents itself as an option. The convenience of its location at 60 Patrick Henry Way and the availability of both dine-in and takeout services are potential benefits. The inclusion of a bar area might appeal to those looking to have drinks with their meal. However, prospective customers should weigh the positive feedback regarding the sushi and the complimentary appetizer against the serious concerns raised in the negative review about the quality of some of the Chinese dishes.

To get a more comprehensive understanding of the current dining experience at China Fortune, it might be beneficial to consider recent online reviews from other platforms or perhaps try it for yourself to form your own opinion. Keep in mind the varying experiences reported by other customers when making your decision.

In summary, China Fortune is a Chinese restaurant in Charles Town, WV, that offers a menu including both Chinese cuisine and sushi. They provide dine-in, takeout, and bar services. While some customers have appreciated aspects like the sushi and complimentary offerings, recent feedback indicates potential inconsistencies in the quality of their traditional Chinese dishes. Local users are encouraged to consider these points when deciding whether to visit China Fortune.

Glad we were able to try this place. The sushi was good and the free chips with sweet and sour dip were a nice touch. We sat at the bar which is nice. The place appeared to be a little empty for 5:30. A ton of carry outs! We would go back and try more rolls. Only one thing we didn’t care for was the steamed dumplings. A few beers and rolls ran us about $60 which is on par.

This restaurant has gone way downhill over the years. Tonight’s food was inedible. We ate here a few months ago and had a similar experience but wanted to give them one more chance since it used to be one of our favorites. Pad Thai was a lump of flavorless mush. Wontons so overcooked there wasn’t any crab left inside. Crispy beef was soggy and SALTY. Egg rolls greasy and undercooked. Even the wonton soup noodles tasted old. They got my $60 tonight but never again.

China fortune To celebrate my successful earlobe surgery, we decided to eat out. Well, you know me, I love me some Chinese food! (Ok, at least act like you know me) we walk in, the place is well kept. It doesn’t smell like cleaning bleach, but like Chinese food is freshly baked. We get seated down by a very kind lady, and are served, literally immediately, these complimentary crunchy things. They were nice, but cold. That’s alright, though. They were free and entirely unexpected. Me and the bois all order different things. Of course, as the sock collected, I got to try all their dishes. (And yes, being a sock collector is defiantly relevant to this) I hate to write a poor review for this place as the people were very nice. And guess what? I won’t. I think this place is decent. The food came out relatively fast, the West Virginia roll was incredible, and I defiantly recommend the fried rice. However, it was incredibly overpriced. Kid menu items shouldn’t be 7 dollars, that’s absolutely insane. So, minus one star. The next star I’m taking down is (I feel like a total Karen here) misleading photos. The pineapple fried rice supposedly came in a pineapple, which would have been really awesome, but instead, I’m served pineapple rice in tinfoil. I am so sorry guys, but you need to put down the prices. Thank you for understanding. I am in no way trying to harm your business, but just throwing in some suggestions.

This family run establishment is a must when you are in Charles Town. The food is fresh and reasonably priced, service is with a smile and the establishment is clean. The food is cooked promptly and delivered to your table piping hot. The pu pu platter has a nice array of different appetizers and is a must to start.

This is a diamond in the rough. The food is so good, we had to walk it off in Walmart which is right next to it. The Dining Room is OPEN. The service was awesome and the food is to die for. I have found the best Chinese Restaurant in Charles Town, WV.
