About China Express

China Express is a Chinese restaurant located at 192 Union Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211, USA. You can contact them at (718) 218-7919 or their mobile number +1 718-218-7919.

According to one customer review, China Express offers "SO good!" food. This reviewer particularly enjoyed the General Tso’s with broccoli and house lo mein, noting that while the $21 total was "a little bit pricey," the taste made it "so worth it." They praised the "perfectly seasoned" chicken and lo mein, the crispiness and sauce of the chicken, and the freshness of the broccoli. This suggests that China Express excels in the flavor and quality of some of their popular dishes.

However, another customer had a less favorable experience regarding a specific order modification and the fried rice. They ordered a dish priced at $10.25 and requested the removal of one vegetable and the addition of "extra" of another vegetable already in the dish. Despite arguing that the total amount of food remained the same, they were charged an extra $1.50 for the "extra" vegetable. This suggests a rigid policy regarding substitutions and additional items. Furthermore, this reviewer found the fried rice to be "soft/soggy and not crispy," which they considered a significant flaw, questioning the value of professional kitchen equipment if basic dishes are not prepared well.

In summary, China Express appears to offer some highly flavorful dishes, such as the General Tso's and lo mein, which are appreciated for their seasoning and quality of ingredients. However, customers should be aware of potential extra charges for even minor modifications to their orders. Additionally, based on one review, the quality of their fried rice may be inconsistent.

SO good! Ordered a General Tso’s with broccoli and house lo mein $21 total. A little bit pricey but after tasting it, it’s so worth it. Both the chicken and lo mein were perfectly seasoned. Chicken was crispy and saucy. Broccoli is fresh.

I ordered a regular dish that was supposed to be $10.25 . I asked them to remove one vegetable in it and add "extra" of another vegetable that's there. "No x, can I get 'extra' y." They charged me $1.50 extra for the "extra" vegetable. I tried to explain to them they took away a vegetable so it's the same amount of food but they said they charge for "extra" even though the sum total was net zero. Also the fried rice was soft/soggy and not crispy which means they don't know how to cook fried rice. They have restaurant grade burners and don't know how to cook fried rice -- what's the point of having specialized equipment then??

The shrimp lo mein was delicious. Fried green plantains was embarrassing to say the least. The chicken was okay. The shrimp fried rice is yellow rice, not actually fried rice.

Food is good but the price is not. $8.50 for a lunch “combo” is fine. BUT It’s $1.00 more for pork fried rice AND THIS “combo” gotta be the only one in NYC that DOESNT COME with an egg roll. What exactly is the combo?!? Egg roll is tiny AF TOO
