About CHINA EXPRESS

CHINA EXPRESS is a Chinese restaurant located at 1003 Coliseum Blvd W, Fort Wayne, IN 46808, USA. They can be contacted at (260) 484-4990 or their mobile number +1 260-484-4990.

According to one positive review, CHINA EXPRESS is a small, family-owned restaurant that offers exceptionally warm service, comparable to more expensive establishments. The owner is described as polite and humorous, offering menu recommendations. This dine-in customer reported very fast service, receiving three dishes within five minutes, and praised the food as flavorful with fresh, crunchy vegetables, expressing intent to return.

However, another customer who ordered through UberEats had a significantly different experience. They found the fried rice to be bland and flavorless, suggesting white rice as a better option. The Kung Pao Chicken was described as spicy but lacking in overall flavor and containing a large amount of peanuts. The spring rolls were deemed very disappointing due to a bad taste and mushy texture, not seeming fresh. This reviewer only finished them due to having paid a higher price via UberEats and the slight improvement from the duck sauce. They recommended only ordering the orange chicken and crab rangoons based on previous experiences. This review also cautioned against upgrading the drink size online, as it resulted in receiving a standard plastic bottle rather than a larger portion.

In summary, CHINA EXPRESS appears to be a family-owned Chinese restaurant in Fort Wayne known for its warm and fast dine-in service. However, online order experiences, particularly through UberEats, have yielded mixed results, with specific dishes like fried rice and spring rolls receiving negative feedback. The orange chicken and crab rangoons are mentioned as potentially better choices. Customers ordering online should also be aware of the drink size upgrade policy.

Drove done from Indy, and was looking for a good lunch after the long drive. It was a small family owned restaurant, but their warm service out rivaled even the most expensive places!! The owner was so polite, cracking joke’s & recommending menu items, We paid for 3 dishes and did not wait all of 5 mins! And the food was great! Flavorful with fresh crunchy veggies. I’ll definitely be back!

I ordered off UberEats and got the Kungpao Chicken, Fried Rice, and Spring Rolls. First off that Fried Rice is so bland and has absolutely no flavor. You are much better off getting just the white rice. The kungpao Chicken isn’t that bad, but it has spice and no flavor. It would definitely be very delicious if it had more flavor added to it instead of just the veggies and peanuts thrown in. Oh yeah, anyone that doesn’t like peanuts or is allergic don’t get this. It has LOTS of peanuts in it. The Spring Rolls were VERY disappointed. It has such a bad taste as soon as you put it in your mouth and is so mushy. It has a nasty flavor and mine were not even fresh. The only reason I finished eating it was because for 1. i paid for it on UberEats which makes everything more expensive and 2. the duck sauce made it taste a little better. I’ve eaten here before and i recommend getting only the orange chicken and crab ragoons because it seems to be the only good thing at this place. Also if you order online DO NOT upgrade the drink to a large. It says it’s $1.50 for the drink with a regular size but upgrading to a large charges .50¢ more and you get a PLASTIC bottle of your drink you could’ve bought at the store so you aren’t even getting a large drink like you request. Overall very disappointing

Today, I got the lunch meal combo. They have the garlic chicken lunch special with an egg roll and your choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup for about $7. By far my favorite dish here. Very hot in both ways. It's certainly enough food to be split. The crab was okay. Not a bargain at $3.25 for 3. If you have a place you think I should try, find my other post and I'm going on a mission to find the best around.

Really good and fresh Chinese food, made in front of your eyes, if you want to take a minute and walk in. A very impressive experience if you have never seen it. It's not the prettiest looking place, but do not let looks deceive you, strait up fresh meal made for you, friends and family from scratch. An awesome sight to behold. They are very nice, a bit hard to hear, but 30 years in the trades and everyone is... Best Chinese food since I cycled through Chicago for international Kung Fu tournaments. Pricing: If you can find a better value on fresh cooked from scratch food, on a proportion level... It won't happen! Serving sizes are a major value. From a guy that is tired of burgers, subs, pizzas and pasta. Wow, really good, healthy and fresh food. That might be a concept that none of the chains have any longer. To great eats and be blessed! Glen PS- Skip the soy sauce, you'll screw up the real sauce flavor. Tears of sadness will follow. Try it like it's made for happy flavor sensations.

Friendly staff, quick service and hot, delicious food! This was our first time here and we will certainly be back. We got egg rolls, crab Rangoons and general Taos chicken. The egg rolls were crisp and flavorful. The Rangoons are triangle shaped and very full of delicious cream cheese. The chicken had a generous amount of sauce, was crispy and yummy and the small serving was still huge! Don’t hesitate to try a locally owned gem!
