About China Dragon

China Dragon is a Chinese Restaurant situated at 600 N Pearl St FC4, Dallas, TX 75201, USA. They can be contacted at (214) 754-0707 or +1 214-754-0707.

Customer reviews suggest a somewhat mixed experience at China Dragon. One reviewer described the food as "very mediocre," noting that their General Tso's chicken with lo mein lunch was acceptable ("fine"). They mentioned the availability of a lunch special that includes egg rolls and tea, with fair portion sizes. This reviewer indicated that China Dragon might be a convenient option for those working in the Plaza needing a quick lunch but would not necessarily recommend it over other choices.

In contrast, another customer reported a "terrible experience" with the beef fried rice. They criticized the rice for being dry, suggesting it was pre-cooked and then tossed with oil rather than authentically fried. Furthermore, they noted a strong, burnt taste in the food, possibly due to the use of old oil, which made the dish disappointing and unappetizing. This customer stated they would not order the beef fried rice again.

Given its location in downtown Dallas, the environment of China Dragon is likely within a commercial setting, possibly catering to the lunchtime crowd. Specific details about the restaurant's ambiance or services beyond takeout and dine-in are not provided in the reviews. Similarly, no information regarding current promotions is available. As a Chinese restaurant in the downtown area, China Dragon offers standard Chinese fare with a lunch special option, but customer feedback on food quality appears to be inconsistent.

Very mediocre Chinese food. I got the General Tso's chicken with lo mein for lunch and it was fine. The portion was fair and you can order a lunch special with egg rolls and tea. It's fine if you are working in the Plaza and need a quick lunch, but I wouldn't seek this place out of other options are available.

I had a terrible experience with the beef fried rice from China Dragon. The rice was incredibly dry, clearly pre-cooked in a rice cooker steamer and then tossed with oil to pass it off as “fried” rice. This is NOT how authentic fried rice should be made. To make matters worse, the oil they used must have been old because it left a strong, burnt taste in the food—even though nothing was actually burned. Overall, it was disappointing and unappetizing. I won’t be ordering this again.

I walked 13 minutes to get to this place and it was worth the walk. The food was good, they have vegetarian options, and the people here are great. They had spice level 1-10 and I asked for 8 and they made it well. This place is worth 5 Stars for sure.

1/10 for me. They got this odd ball way of ordering/paying but i digress. Ordered a double entrée with orange chicken and steamed rice. The steamed rice was super dry to the point where they didn't even stick together, its impossible to eat it with a fork, since they do not offer spoons. The orange chicken did not have any flavor oddly enough. It didn't taste like anything except burnt food. In the image you can see some dark spots, where that is something that was in the fryer for way to log and got pulled up with my chicken. Sadly enough all my chicken tasted burned even tho it was not. aside from the fact the chicken did not taste like anything it was a waste of money. The only real good thing was the egg roll which i am sure is not made in house.

food portion size flavor, etc. is average for Chinese take away. But what I find absolutely reprehensible is the fortune cookies. I like fortune cookies, I like the taste of fortune cookies. But these have advertisements from ZipRecruiter on laminated paper. This makes the fortune cookie taste like laminated paper and the fortune bunk
