About China Chef - Seafood Boil & Chinese

Welcome to China Chef - Seafood Boil & Chinese, a unique establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, located at 1604 Madison St suite C in Clarksville, Tennessee. This restaurant offers a distinctive culinary experience by combining the comforting and familiar flavors of Chinese cuisine with the exciting and interactive concept of seafood boils. If you're looking for a place that offers a diverse menu, generous portions, and friendly service, China Chef might be worth exploring.

Based on customer reviews, the environment at China Chef appears to be functional and focused on the food rather than elaborate décor. One reviewer mentioned "boxes in the corner all over," suggesting a more utilitarian setting. However, they also noted, "But it's a Chinese food spot not a chick fil a so I'm not worried about the 'ambiance'," indicating that while the atmosphere might not be the primary focus, it doesn't necessarily detract significantly from the overall experience, especially for those prioritizing good food and value.

China Chef offers both dine-in and takeout services to cater to different preferences. The positive comments about "polite owners" suggest a welcoming and customer-oriented approach to service. One reviewer mentioned a "10min wait," implying a reasonable timeframe for food preparation. Another reviewer indicated they would "probably place order over phone too," suggesting that call-in orders are a convenient option for those wanting to grab their food and go. You can contact China Chef at (931) 648-3833 or +1 931-648-3833 to inquire about their menu and place orders.

A significant feature of China Chef, highlighted in the reviews, is the quality and taste of certain dishes, along with the generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. One customer enthusiastically praised the "Delicious dumplings!" and noted "Good size portions, Great prices." This suggests that the dumplings are a standout item and that the restaurant offers good value for money. The same reviewer also enjoyed the "shrimp and garlic sauce," describing it as "perfect." This indicates that China Chef excels in preparing flavorful seafood dishes as well.

Another notable feature is the availability of "flat rice noodles" (chow fun), a dish that one reviewer had been specifically seeking in the area. While they noted that the "flavor of the food can use more flavor" and that it lacked the "taste of food cooked on a sizzling wok," they were still "overall, happy they offer this dish" and appreciated the texture of the noodles. This suggests that China Chef caters to specific regional preferences and offers dishes that might be harder to find elsewhere in Clarksville.

However, not all dishes received universal praise. The same reviewer who enjoyed the dumplings and shrimp and garlic sauce was "wasnt crazy about the lo mein." This indicates that while some dishes are highly regarded, others might not meet everyone's expectations. It's important to consider that taste preferences can vary.

The combination of Chinese cuisine and seafood boils is a unique feature of China Chef. While the provided reviews don't offer specific details about the seafood boil aspect of their menu, the restaurant's name clearly indicates its presence. Seafood boils typically involve a variety of shellfish cooked with seasonings and often served in a bag or piled on a table for a communal and interactive eating experience. This dual offering allows China Chef to cater to a broader range of tastes and preferences within the community.

One reviewer provided an update stating, "The food is still hot, still great & the owners are nice," reinforcing the positive aspects of food quality and customer service over time. This suggests a consistent level of quality and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. Local restaurants often have daily specials or introductory offers for new customers. In conclusion, China Chef - Seafood Boil & Chinese in Clarksville, TN, offers a distinctive dining experience by combining classic Chinese dishes with the flavorful fun of seafood boils. Customers have praised their delicious dumplings, well-sized portions, great prices, and polite owners. While the ambiance might be more functional than fancy and some dishes like the lo mein received less favorable reviews, the availability of unique items like flat rice noodles and the positive feedback on other dishes like the shrimp and garlic sauce suggest a worthwhile culinary adventure. If you're in Clarksville and looking for a Chinese restaurant with a twist, consider exploring the menu at China Chef.

Delicious dumplings! Good size portions, Great prices, Polite owners. Wasnt crazy about the lo mein (nor the boxes in the corner all over.. don't know how that's allowed). But it's a Chinese food spot not a chick fil a so I'm not worried about the 'ambiance'. Also had the shrimp and garlic sauce & it was perfect. Update: The food is still hot, still great & the owners are nice

Food was good. Been wanting to try this place because they seem to be the only one who serves "flat rice noodles " (chow fun). The flavor of the food can use more flavor. There isn't the taste of food cooked on a sizzling wok when u have the typical "beef chow fun". Overall, happy they offer this dish. It was good (the texture of the noodles were good, not mushy). Felt like a 10min wait. Would only come back for the next craving. Probably place order over phone too.

Just ordered through door dash for the first time and expected good food but received horrible cheap tasting meat. The only thing I have nice to say is the crab rangoons were good. Half way eating my sesame chicken combo platter I tasted metal in my chicken (check photos.) I'm never eating here again.

I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, the food was incredibly disappointing. The chicken in the chicken fried rice was bland, unseasoned, and had a rubbery texture. The egg drop soup was more oil than actual soup—almost inedible. The orange chicken tasted like it was frozen, reheated, and left soggy. And to top it all off, even the fortune cookie was a letdown. Definitely not a place I’d recommend or revisit.

Ordered take out from this place. Crab Rangoon , beef sticks, and shrimp lo mein. I’m not sure what they sent me instead of crab Rangoon but it’s not that. Had a weird looking meat inside of a tiny wonton stead of cream cheese. Beef sticks were more stick than meat and completely burnt and the shrimp lo mien had a rotten smell when I opened it. Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Tried to talk to a manager and was told they would call me back. Called them again and they denied the beer was burnt and the shrimp was bad. They have zero ducks about it.
