About China Chef

Welcome to the local guide for China Chef, a Chinese restaurant located at 85 W Combs Rd #110 in San Tan Valley, Arizona. As a Chinese restaurant serving the local community, China Chef aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to its patrons. This introduction will offer an overview of what you might anticipate from this establishment, based on the information available online.

Situated on West Combs Road in San Tan Valley, China Chef is located within a plaza at suite #110. The restaurant can be contacted at (480) 888-8881 or via their mobile number, +1 480-888-8881, for inquiries regarding orders, menu items, and services.

Details regarding the specific environment and ambiance of China Chef are not provided in the available reviews. Typically, Chinese restaurants in suburban settings offer a casual and functional space for dining or waiting for takeout orders. The decor can vary, often incorporating traditional Chinese elements. Since the reviews do not describe the dining area, it is unclear whether China Chef offers dine-in service or primarily focuses on takeout and potentially delivery. Local residents interested in dining at the location may consider contacting the restaurant directly for information about their current facilities.

In terms of services, the reviews indicate that China Chef offers takeout. One review details placing an order for pickup, indicating this as a service option. The mention of a significant delay suggests that while takeout is available, the efficiency of order preparation might be a concern. It is also plausible that they offer delivery services to the local San Tan Valley area, as is common for many Chinese restaurants, but this cannot be confirmed based on the provided information. Customers interested in delivery should inquire directly with the restaurant. The negative review regarding delivery wait times and order readiness suggests potential issues with their service efficiency.

The features of China Chef would primarily revolve around its menu and the style of Chinese cuisine it offers. One negative review mentions ordering "Mongolian Beef," describing it as having very little beef and being predominantly onions and grease, as well as bland and not spicy. This suggests that Mongolian Beef is on their menu, but at least one customer found the quality to be poor. The other negative review mentions ordering "ragoons," indicating that this is also an item they offer. The issue with the ragoons being mistakenly placed in another customer's order and the long wait time does not provide insight into the quality of the dish itself, but rather the operational aspects of the restaurant. Without a comprehensive menu, it is challenging to detail the full range of their culinary offerings. Typical Chinese restaurants often feature a variety of dishes including beef, chicken, pork, and seafood preparations, along with rice and noodle dishes, and a selection of appetizers and soups. To explore the specific menu and any specialties of China Chef, contacting the restaurant directly would be the most reliable approach.

Promotional information for China Chef is not available in the provided reviews. Restaurants often use various methods to attract customers, such as offering lunch specials, discounts on certain dishes, or seasonal promotions. To find out if China Chef currently has any special offers or promotions, local residents should contact the restaurant directly or check if they have any online presence where such information might be advertised.

The customer reviews provided offer strongly negative insights into recent experiences at China Chef. One reviewer explicitly advises others to "DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY," based on their experience with the Mongolian Beef. The described issues with the dish include a lack of the main ingredient (beef), an excess of onions and grease, and a bland, non-spicy flavor. This customer's comparison to a fast-food chain suggests a significant level of dissatisfaction with the food quality at China Chef.

The second review details a severely negative experience with a takeout order. The customer reported a significant delay of 45 minutes beyond the promised pickup time. Adding to the frustration, their order of ragoons was mistakenly placed in someone else's order. The reviewer also criticized the customer service and communication skills of the front staff and the perceived lack of efficiency of the order packing staff. This negative feedback highlights serious issues with order management, wait times, and customer service at China Chef. The fact that this was from a customer who previously ordered weekly indicates a significant decline in their experience, leading them to state they will not return.

Given these two highly negative reviews, potential customers should exercise extreme caution when considering ordering from China Chef. The reported issues with food quality (poorly prepared Mongolian Beef) and extremely poor service (long delays, incorrect orders, unprofessional staff) are significant concerns. The strong language used by both reviewers underscores their dissatisfaction and suggests a high likelihood of a negative experience for other customers. While these are individual experiences, the consistency of the negative feedback regarding both food and service is alarming.

For local residents in San Tan Valley looking for a Chinese restaurant, it would be prudent to consider other options with more positive or at least more balanced recent reviews. The reported issues at China Chef, particularly concerning food quality, order accuracy, and customer service, suggest a potentially unsatisfactory experience. Exploring alternative Chinese restaurants in the San Tan Valley area might be a wiser choice to ensure a better dining or takeout experience.

In conclusion, China Chef in San Tan Valley appears to be a Chinese restaurant offering takeout services, and potentially dine-in and delivery. However, recent customer reviews have reported significant issues with both the quality of their food, specifically the Mongolian Beef, and their service, including long wait times, incorrect orders, and unprofessional staff. Potential customers are strongly advised to consider these negative experiences and exercise extreme caution before patronizing this establishment. Exploring alternative Chinese dining options in the area is recommended.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. The Mongolian Beef I ordered had barely any beef. It had over ¾ lb of onions and grease. It was bland as can be, and not spicy at all. Panda would've been better. The only reason we even tried the place, was because most places were closed for Easter. We will NEVER go back!!

Order places at 1600, was told would be ready by 1700. Get there at 1715 due to work, and food still not ready. Wait 45mins!!!!!! For RAGOONS THAT WERE IN SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER! The 2 wanna be cholas in the front have horrible customer service and communication skills. And the lady, who was packing the orders and put our ragoons for 45 MINS into someone else's order, doesn't have a busy bone in her body. From eating here weekly!!!! We are done! This was by far the worse service we have ever received from this place! And we will not be returning! Thank you for this!

I come here about once a month. My family and I enjoy a nice Chinese dinner now and again. We always come back for more. The food is always delicious very generous portions. It is always ready in a timely manner. I always spend over $100 when I come here. But it's definitely worth the price. We get the barbecue pork orange chicken sweet and sour chicken shrimp fried rice shrimp lo mein and crab rangoons.

My husband got us Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef for dinner. Both were bland. The Orange Chicken, honestly, was gross. Zero orange flavor to it, whatever sauce was on it was odd. The Mongolian Beef was more onion than beef and had zero spice to it. Won't be going back.

We get food from this Location on the regular, great customer service, but it just seems like the food is going downhill. I haven't noticed any new cooks. So I'm not understanding. Tonight we ordered just a dinner combo. With a extra egg roll. Food was definitely overcooked. We tried calling, but the line was busy.
