About China Chef
This introduction addresses China Chef, a Chinese restaurant located at 3193 Peters Creek Pkwy I in Winston-Salem, NC 27127. As a platform providing information about Chinese Restaurants, it is our responsibility to present an objective overview based on the available customer feedback. Due to the serious nature of the reviews received, this introduction will primarily focus on the significant concerns raised by recent customers regarding food safety and customer service.
The physical address indicates that China Chef is likely a brick-and-mortar establishment offering dine-in and takeout services. The presence of phone numbers, (336) 650-9223 and +1 336-650-9223, suggests that customers can place orders for pickup or inquire about their services. Delivery options are not mentioned in the provided reviews, so it is unknown if China Chef offers this service directly or through third-party platforms.
Given the alarming content of the customer reviews, describing the environment in a traditional sense is overshadowed by the critical issues raised. One reviewer mentioned a disturbing experience of finding a bug in their food. Another customer reported finding roaches in their food. These are severe allegations that raise significant concerns about the hygiene and pest control practices within the restaurant's kitchen and food preparation areas. Such findings, if accurate, would indicate a potentially unsanitary environment that could pose serious health risks to patrons. The state of the dining area is not described, as the focus of the reviews is solely on the food contamination issues.
The services offered by China Chef would typically include food preparation for dine-in and takeout customers. However, the customer reviews highlight significant failures in the quality and safety of the food provided. One reviewer who found a bug in their meal reported a negative customer service experience when attempting to obtain a refund, stating that they were instead offered sodas. The second reviewer, who claimed to have found roaches in their food, also reported being denied a refund, which led to a protest outside the establishment. These accounts indicate a severe lack of responsibility and poor customer service practices in addressing serious food contamination complaints. The refusal to provide refunds and the alleged dismissive responses are deeply concerning.
The primary feature of any restaurant is its food. However, the customer reviews do not describe the taste or quality of the intended dishes. Instead, they focus entirely on the presence of contaminants. The first reviewer reported finding a bug in their food, while the second reviewer claimed to have found roaches. These are not isolated incidents of minor dissatisfaction; they are serious allegations of food contamination that directly impact the safety and edibility of the meals served by China Chef. The specific types of Chinese cuisine offered are not mentioned, as the focus of the feedback is solely on these critical health and safety violations.
There is no information regarding any promotional offers or specials for China Chef in the provided customer reviews. Given the severity of the food safety concerns raised, any potential promotions would be irrelevant to the fundamental issues of hygiene and food quality that need to be addressed. It is unlikely that customers would be interested in promotional deals from an establishment with such serious allegations pending against it.
The customer feedback for China Chef is unequivocally negative and centers around extremely serious allegations of food contamination. One customer reported finding a bug in their food and being poorly treated when seeking a resolution. The other customer claimed to have found roaches in their food and was also denied a refund, leading to a public protest. These are not mere complaints about taste or service; they are accusations of serving unsafe and contaminated food. The implications of these reviews are profound, suggesting a potential disregard for basic food safety standards and a failure in customer service when these critical issues are brought to the restaurant's attention. The fact that two separate reviewers reported such alarming findings should be a significant cause for concern for any potential customers.
In conclusion, based on recent customer reviews, there are severe and alarming allegations regarding the food safety and hygiene practices at China Chef in Winston-Salem, NC. Multiple customers have reported finding contaminants, including a bug and roaches, in their food. Additionally, the customer service response to these serious complaints has been described as inadequate and dismissive, with refusals to provide refunds. These reviews raise significant concerns about the fundamental safety and quality of the food served at China Chef. Potential customers are strongly advised to consider this information and exercise extreme caution. Given the nature of the allegations, it would be prudent to seek dining options elsewhere until these serious issues are verifiably addressed and resolved by the restaurant management and relevant health authorities. Contacting China Chef directly at (336) 650-9223 is possible, but the content of the recent reviews warrants significant skepticism and caution.

There was this bug in my food, and when I went to get a refund, the man told me to take a few sodas instead worst place ever
I found roaches in my food and they wouldn't give me my money back so we protested on the outside so if I was you I wouldn't eat there because you might not never know what you're going to find in your food and if you do eat here look your food over really good
Is Good, It is fresh and freshly prepared food.ðŸ¤
Consistently proven dependable. Not 5 star, but definitely ranked among the best available. This is a reliable place for many years and their existence is a testament to their quality and service.
For food that is prepared quickly, my black pepper chicken was over done and was tough to chew! The pork Lo Mein was good, along with the shrimp egg rolls.
