China Cafe

We just ordered and the amount of food for the price is very convenient. As for the food it tasted very amazing. I got the chicken lo mein and general ts chicken. Beyond full I can still feed 2 more people. Mind you I got the lunch special! They were quick to deliver.

I want to share my experience about the China Cafe located at 1039 West Glebe Road Alexandria VA, 22305. I went into the restaurant, and order Beef Lomein lunch special, and Orange Chicken lunch special. The price was great. The Beef lomein was not Beef. The texture and the taste upset my stomach immediately. The Orange Chicken was extremely dry. I was too far away to take the food back and inquire about a refund. The Beef was so bad, that I'm going to contact the health department to see if they are using actual Beef, or something else!!! I do not like criticizing business because everyone needs to earn a living. But please, do the right thing. If it's not Beef, just say Something Lo mein.

They changed their type of rice for the fried rice. It was really good before. The new rice has a weird taste. Cheap tasting rice

Order delivery from China Cafe around 1:13 PM. I ordered a Large Curry Chicken, medium spice, with Brown Rice and Crab Rangoon. The delivery was due 2:07 PM but the driver got there a little earlier than that. He did try to call but somebody let him into the building before I could answer the phone so he met me in the hallway. Only issue was he was talking to me but there was no eye contact. He was on his phone the whole time. I don't really care - I prefer fast delivery to super-polite delivery. But some of you might not like that. The food was all good though, to be honest, the brown rice was kind of...meh. I mean, brown rice is kind of bland to start with but most Chinese restaurants try to spice it up with something. This was just brown rice with nothing added. Once again not really a problem - brown rice is healthy for you and much of the time is bland. In other words nothing to complain about but nothing to really brag about.

Stopped in last night (9/10). I have never visited before but found the "OK" reviews here on Google. I was pleasantly greeted by a smiling Asian woman. I ordered the General Tso and an Chicken Egg Foo Young. I had about a 25 minute drive to get home and when I did, the food has still moderately warm and very tasty. Like many other Chinese Food Carryout it is a "hole in the wall" and would get 5 stars if they made the place more attractive. If I wasn't clear, the food was great and so was the service! If I'm in the area again, I will be back.
