About China Buffet

Welcome to China Buffet, a Chinese Restaurant located at 800 S Hover St #20 in Longmont, Colorado. As a buffet-style establishment, China Buffet aims to provide a wide selection of Chinese-American dishes for diners looking for variety and volume. Situated in a convenient location, we offer a dine-in experience where customers can sample a range of appetizers, main courses, and desserts at a set price. For inquiries, you can reach us at (303) 651-9998 or our mobile number +1 303-651-9998.

The concept of China Buffet revolves around offering an extensive array of Chinese culinary staples, allowing guests to create their own personalized meals by choosing from the various dishes available at the buffet stations. Typically, Chinese buffets include a selection of popular items such as fried rice, lo mein, various chicken and beef dishes prepared with different sauces, seafood options, and a variety of vegetables. Appetizers like egg rolls, spring rolls, and wontons are often available, along with soups and a selection of desserts, including fresh fruit and sweet pastries.

Based on recent customer feedback, it's important for potential diners to be aware of certain aspects of the dining experience, particularly concerning food freshness and temperature. One review indicated that food available around 5 pm appeared to be leftovers from the lunch service and was described as cold. This customer noted that fresh, hot food did not begin to be brought out until approximately 6:10 pm and suggested avoiding dinner before this time. The same reviewer also mentioned that the soup seemed to have been sitting unstirred for an extended period. Due to these issues, the customer expressed that they would not be returning, citing concerns about the value for the price.

Another customer who visited slightly after 11 am, aiming for the freshest possible food, also reported a negative experience. They described the food as "incredibly bland," noting that three different types of chicken dishes tasted indistinguishable except for their shapes. This reviewer also raised concerns about the chicken on a stick, which they felt was undercooked, and the wontons in the soup, which they described as tasting like old pork. Consequently, this customer stated that they would "definitely don't recommend" China Buffet.

These reviews suggest that the timing of your visit might significantly impact the quality and freshness of the food you experience at China Buffet. It appears that arriving closer to peak service times when food is likely to be freshly prepared might be advisable. However, it is essential to consider all available feedback when making a dining decision.

While these recent reviews highlight concerns about food temperature and freshness at certain times, the general premise of a Chinese buffet is to offer a wide variety of dishes at a competitive price point. Buffets can be appealing to those who enjoy sampling different items and having control over their portion sizes. The environment of a typical buffet restaurant is usually casual and geared towards accommodating a large number of diners efficiently.

Information regarding specific services such as takeout or delivery is not provided in the given reviews. It would be advisable to contact China Buffet directly at (303) 651-9998 or +1 303-651-9998 to inquire about these options, as well as any current promotional offers or updated dining hours that might affect the freshness of the food available.

Given the feedback concerning the variability in food quality depending on the time of day, potential customers might want to consider these comments when planning their visit. If freshness and hot food are a priority, it may be prudent to inquire with the restaurant about their food preparation schedule, particularly if dining during off-peak hours.

In summary, China Buffet in Longmont, CO, offers a traditional Chinese buffet experience with a wide selection of dishes available for dine-in. Recent customer reviews, however, indicate potential issues with food temperature and freshness, particularly when dining during certain hours, such as before the dinner rush. Customers have also described some dishes as bland and raised concerns about the quality of certain items. It is recommended that potential diners take these recent experiences into consideration and perhaps contact the restaurant directly for more information on their service and food preparation times to make an informed decision about their visit to this Chinese Restaurant.

What food was out was left over from lunch. Cold, cold, cold. We arrived about 5 pm. Did not start bringing fresh hot food out until 6:10. Could tell the soup had not even been stirred since maybe lunch. Recommend not coming for dinner until then. For the price, we won't be back.

I normally think people have to high of standards for buffets, so they leave bad reviews, but this place is as bad as everyone said. I showed up slightly after 11 to get it as fresh as I could. Food is incredibly bland, I got three different types of chicken, and I couldn't tell the difference other than the shapes. The chicken on a stick tasted undercooked, and the wontons in the soup tasted like old pork. Definitely don't recommend.

The food here was just OK. There was a nice selection, but not a huge selection as you would expect. Some of the food had been there for quite a while and had made a large clump, when I tried to take some. The restrooms were decent. I did not get offered a refill on my drink, until I was ready for the check. I was kind of disappointed here, as there are not many Chinese buffets in this area.

I really haven't had any problems here. I think over the past year, I have been at least 12 times or once a month. No complaints. It's good food and it's a buffet.
