About China Buffet

China Buffet is a Chinese restaurant located at 445 KY-44 Suite18, Shepherdsville, KY 40165, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, China Buffet typically offers a wide selection of Chinese-American dishes in a buffet-style setting. They can be contacted at (502) 921-2891 or via their mobile number, +1 502-921-2891.

When considering China Buffet, it is crucial to take into account recent feedback from customers who have dined at the establishment. These reviews provide firsthand accounts of their experiences, which can be valuable for local users seeking information about this dining option.

One reviewer described the atmosphere of China Buffet as being typical of a "general run of the mill Chinese food buffet." This suggests that the environment is likely functional and familiar to those who have frequented similar establishments, without any particularly distinctive or upscale features. It implies a casual dining setting focused on the buffet experience itself.

Regarding service, one customer mentioned that the service was "nice enough" but noted an error in their drink order. While this was corrected, it was mentioned as a minor issue that was overshadowed by more significant concerns regarding the food quality. This suggests that while the staff may be polite, there might be occasional lapses in attention to detail.

The most prominent aspect of the recent reviews is the overwhelmingly negative feedback concerning the food quality. One reviewer strongly advised others to "save your money and go somewhere else," stating that the price did not justify the quality of the food offered. They described the food as "old" and specifically mentioned the coconut shrimp as "inedible," to the point of having to spit it out. Furthermore, the teriyaki chicken and General Tso's chicken were also described as old and inedible. This reviewer concluded that virtually everything, including the sushi, was stale and that the restaurant was "bad" and not worth the money.

Another customer echoed these sentiments, stating that the food was "awful" and that all of it tasted old. They reported finding gristle in every bite of the chicken, indicating poor quality meat. The cake was described as old and appearing moldy, raising serious concerns about food freshness and safety. Even basic items like rice were labeled as bland, and the Lo Mein was unappetizingly compared to "dog food." This reviewer went as far as to say it was the "worst CHINESE food I've ever had" and noted a decline in quality from a time when the restaurant was reportedly good, suggesting a significant downturn in their standards.

Based on this consistent negative feedback regarding the food quality, potential local users should be aware of the significant concerns raised by recent diners. The descriptions of old, inedible, and potentially unsafe food, along with issues like gristle in chicken and moldy cake, are serious red flags. These reviews strongly suggest that the current state of the buffet at China Buffet may be far from satisfactory.

Information regarding specific features or unique selling points of China Buffet is absent from these reviews, as the focus is entirely on the negative aspects of the food and a minor service issue. The typical feature of a Chinese buffet is the wide variety of dishes available for a fixed price, allowing customers to sample different items. However, if the quality of these items is as described in the reviews, this feature becomes a significant drawback rather than an advantage.

Similarly, no promotional information or special offers were mentioned in the provided customer reviews. Given the strong negative sentiment about the fundamental aspect of the restaurant – the food quality – any potential promotions would likely be secondary considerations for most potential customers.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for China Buffet in Shepherdsville paint a concerning picture of the dining experience. The atmosphere is described as typical of a general Chinese buffet, but the service, while initially polite, had issues. The overwhelming criticism is directed at the food quality, with multiple reviewers describing it as old, inedible, and in some cases, potentially unsafe. The specific mentions of inedible coconut shrimp, old chicken dishes, stale sushi, bland rice, unappetizing Lo Mein, gristly chicken, and moldy cake should give potential local users serious pause. Based on this feedback, it would be advisable for those seeking a positive Chinese dining experience in Shepherdsville to consider alternative options.

had the atmosphere of your general run of the mill Chinese food buffet. The service was nice enough. Brought me back the wrong drink though. But after my dinner that was the least of my concerns. Save your money and go somewhere else. For the price you pay and for what you get you are overpaying when you come here. The food is old the coconut shrimp is inedible I had to spit it out. The teriyaki chicken and the general was old and inedible. Everything was inedible even the sushi was stale. Go somewhere else this place is not worth your money this place is bad.

Food was awful, all of it was old. Gristle in every bite of chicken. Cake was old and looked moldy. Rice was bland. Lo Mein looked like dog food. Worst CHINESE food I've ever had. They used to be good, but the whole place has went downhill.

They have a good selection of different foods. And different types of food that I've never seen before in Chinese restaurants and it's really good. Would definitely recommend!

The food was very good. If anything turns you off from this place, it will be the interior looks.
