About China 1

China 1 is a Chinese restaurant located at 1411 E Main St in Lincolnton, North Carolina, serving the local community with a broad menu that encompasses both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. As a local dining establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, China 1 aims to provide a variety of Asian-inspired dishes to its patrons. They can be contacted at (704) 735-1181 or via mobile phone at +1 704-735-1181 for inquiries or orders.

Based on recent customer feedback available online, experiences at China 1 appear to be mixed. One customer, who stated they had generally enjoyed China 1 in the past, reported a significant disappointment with a recent order of hibachi steak. According to this review, while the meal possessed excellent flavor, the steak itself was described as being "tough as leather," rendering most of it inedible. The reviewer mentioned only being able to consume two chewable bites out of the entire steak portion, leading to considerable dissatisfaction with their dining experience on that particular occasion.

Another customer expressed a more critical overall opinion of the food quality at China 1. This reviewer commented on the generous portion sizes, noting that orders typically contain "Way more food than anyone could possibly eat in one sitting." However, they found the quality to be lacking, suggesting that the food tasted as if it were prepared by individuals unfamiliar with authentic Chinese and Japanese culinary techniques. This customer stated they would not order from China 1 again, implying a significant level of dissatisfaction with the authenticity and taste of the dishes. They further speculated that the limited availability of "real authentic Chinese/Japanese restaurants" in the town might contribute to the popularity of establishments like China 1, and suggested that an authentic Chinese restaurant could potentially thrive in the area.

It is important to consider these reviews as individual experiences, and they may not represent the entirety of customer satisfaction at China 1. However, they do provide insights into potential strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant based on recent feedback. The positive comment regarding the "excellent flavor" of the hibachi steak, despite its texture issue, suggests that the culinary team at China 1 is capable of producing flavorful dishes. The concern raised about the toughness of the steak indicates a potential inconsistency in food preparation or ingredient quality for certain menu items.

The critical review regarding the overall authenticity and taste of the food points to a potential area for improvement. While taste preferences are subjective, the strong assertion that the food does not align with authentic Chinese and Japanese standards could be a point of consideration for those seeking a more traditional culinary experience. The reviewer's observation about the large portion sizes might be seen as a positive aspect by some customers who value quantity, even if the quality is perceived as average.

Given the limited information available online, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the restaurant's environment, services, and any ongoing promotions. The address indicates a physical location on East Main Street in Lincolnton, suggesting a traditional brick-and-mortar establishment. However, details about the ambiance, decor, or specific services offered (such as dine-in, takeout, or delivery) are not provided in the given information. Similarly, there is no mention of any special features that distinguish China 1 from other Chinese restaurants in the area, nor any specific promotional offers being advertised.

For local users in Lincolnton considering dining at China 1, it would be prudent to weigh the available feedback. The positive note about the flavor of the hibachi steak should be considered alongside the negative comments concerning its texture and the overall authenticity of the cuisine. Individuals who prioritize large portions and are less concerned about strict adherence to traditional culinary methods might find China 1 to be a satisfactory option. However, those seeking a more authentic or consistently high-quality Chinese or Japanese dining experience might want to explore other available options in the surrounding area, if any exist, as suggested by one of the reviewers.

To gain a more complete understanding of what China 1 offers, local users may want to consider visiting the restaurant themselves or seeking additional reviews on other platforms. Observing the environment, experiencing the service firsthand, and trying a variety of dishes could provide a more informed perspective on the overall dining experience. It might also be beneficial to inquire directly with the restaurant about their specialties, preparation methods, and any current promotions they may be running.

In conclusion, China 1 is a Chinese and Japanese restaurant located in Lincolnton, NC, that has received mixed reviews from recent customers. While one reviewer praised the flavor of a hibachi steak dish, they also noted a significant issue with the texture of the meat. Another reviewer expressed concerns about the overall quality and authenticity of the food, despite the generous portion sizes. Without further information regarding the restaurant's environment, services, features, or promotions, local users are encouraged to consider these points and potentially seek additional information or personal experiences to make an informed decision about dining at China 1.

I've always enjoyed china 1,but today was different.I ordered hibachi steak. The meal had excellent flavor. Flavor doesn't matter tho when you can't eat the steak..It was tough as leather..Out of the whole meal I had two bites of steak that were chewable.I was very disappointed.

There’s Way more food than anyone could possibly eat in one sitting with any order. But it’s not very good. It’s honestly like white people are making this Chinese and Japanese food, but they don’t know how it’s done. I won’t order anything from here again. But I guess the real authentic Chinese/Japanese restaurants has spoiled me from enjoying anything but the best. It’s all this town had to offer! If there’s any Chinese people thinking about opening up a restaurant somewhere, this would be a good town. Real authentic Chinese food would blow a lot of these restaurants out of a business. 🎤👏I said what I said!!👏

Walking in it was exceptionally clean and organized. The lady behind the counter taken my grandmother and my-selves order was very professional, patient and courteous. After receiving our drinks and being seated at a table, in no time we got our food cooked to order with no errors or issues. So if you want a Chinese restaurant that gives you the food for your money look no further. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Been a customer over 10 years, ordered few plate of house fried rice Got home and they packed me brown price The one that comes on the side entree, not the actual fried rice that it’s $13 a plate… Called back and the chef got on the phone and argued with me calling me a liar. I live 30 mins away and ain’t got time to do another hour round trip to take these rice back to prove them wrong. Unprofessional people and not one time did they apologize for the mistake, argued with me the entire time. Like I really got time in my life to call and complain about fried rice LOL Check your food, these folks have no customer service.
