Chili Square is a Chinese restaurant located at 666 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170, USA. You can reach them at (617) 472-8888 or +1 617-472-8888.

Based on customer reviews, Chili Square offers a very authentic experience of spicy Chinese food. It is described as a "hole in the wall mom and pop joint" with a casual environment. The restaurant is small, with only about 5 tables, so seating might be limited. Please note that Chili Square is a cash-only establishment and uses disposable cutlery and plates, especially for sharing.

A standout dish mentioned by reviewers is the Biang Biang noodles, which are thick, hand-made wheat noodles praised for their chewy and soft texture and a sauce with a good level of heat. Another highly recommended dish is the fish fillet with preserved vegetables, noted for its large portion size, suitable for sharing among four people.

Other dishes that received positive feedback include the Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup and the Lanzhou beef brisket noodle soup, both featuring flavorful broths and tender beef brisket. The sweet and sour cold cucumber is also mentioned as a well-seasoned appetizer.

Customers have generally found the food to be very good, authentic, and mostly spicy. The portion sizes are reported to be generous, and the food is served quickly. While one reviewer mentioned finding a piece of sticker in their soup, they still indicated a willingness to return due to the overall positive experience and reasonable prices.

For those seeking an authentic taste of spicy Chinese cuisine, particularly hand-made noodles and flavorful soups, Chili Square in Quincy is a recommended option. However, potential customers should be aware of the restaurant's small size, cash-only policy, and the casual dining setting.

I had dinner here on 12 Aug 24. It is a hole in the wall mom and pop joint. Cash only. That means disposal cutlery and plates for sharing. Be prepared for a tight squeeze as there are only 5 tables in this place. That being said, the food is very good and mostly spicy. I loved the biang biang noodles which are basically thick wheat hand made noodles. Very chewy and soft. The sauce was just the right heat level. We also had the fish fillet with preserved vegetables which was huge and enough for 4 to share. Would definitely recommend this place for a very authentic experience and taste of spicy Chinese food.

The place is small and it takes only cash payment. There are plenty of street parking spaces. We ordered the sweet and sour cold cucumber. We also got Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup and Lanzhou beef brisket noodle soup. Both broth are flavorful. The beef brisket is tender. My wife asked to have the chili oil on the side, but when it came out, the chili oil wasn't on a separate bowl. That was fine. The Cumin Lamb for the Bian Biang was tender, but also, it didn't have the smell. I am pretty sure it was cooked for a long time. The hand stretch noodle cooked perfectly. The portions sized are big. The cold cucumber seasoned well. Not too sweet or sour or spicy. I would have given them 4.5 stars, but I found a piece of sticker in the soup. The price for the meal was reasonable. The food came out fast. I would definitely come back again.

Most enjoyable noodles down to the last bite! FYI, this is a very small place with limited seating it's definitely worth the wait if you stop by during a rush. Next time we're in the area, I'll be going back for the Cumin Lamb Biang Biang Noodle!

I've been meaning to go to Chili Square for a while, and finally made it on my last trip to Quincy. The restaurant is small (maybe 5 tables), and most everything is self service in front of the counter (including water, styrofoam side bowls, utensils, napkins). Cash only. Overall I enjoyed some of the things I had here, but probably wouldn't come back. The beef noodle soup had nice flavor, The biangbiang noodles were good but not my favorite, and the chicken (bone, skin on) was quite tender with good flavor. The spicy fish fillet was huge and had a good amount of fish, but one of the fillets seemed a bit undercooked... Cucumbers cooked in the spicy broth was also an interesting choice. The chongqing chicken was coated in chili powder, which I didn't enjoy so much, and didn't have much savory flavor. Overall I had a pleasant experience here, but there's nothing here that I wouldn't rather get at a different restaurant.

Chili Square is a small restaurant located on Hancock Street, the hub of Asian food in Quincy. There is plenty of street parking. Not a lot of tables inside, so I wouldn't recommend this place for large groups. Cash only. I ordered two items for take-out, which took 10 minutes to prepare on an empty morning. No issues with service. - Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger ($6.95): Decent amount of lamb for an appetizer. The lamb was aromatic but dry and not that spicy. The dough was also dry but held up well. I wouldn't get this again. - Spicy Chicken Biang Biang Noodles ($12.95): Filling for the price but more noodles than chicken and only two pieces of vegetables, so the ratios could be better. This dish was also not that spicy. However, the chicken was flavorful and not dry like the lamb. The noodles were chewy and al dente but a bit too oily. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if you're in the area and looking for a cheaper, decently filling lunch, this place is an okay choice.
