About Chili's Grill & Bar

Chili's Grill & Bar, located at 2794 E Fowler Ave in Tampa, Florida, is presented as a Chinese restaurant that offers a variety of American grill-style food. According to recent customer reviews, the food is described as "edible" and "just ok," with a decline in quality compared to previous experiences.

One customer noted that the Bloody Mary mix tasted primarily like spicy ketchup, which was not to their liking. Another customer ordered a cheeseburger cooked medium that was not prepared as requested and found the chili to be unusually dark with a burnt taste, leading them to suggest sticking to drinks and appetizers.

However, not all food experiences were negative. One customer's mother-in-law enjoyed her steak, stating it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Another customer's husband enjoyed the ribs but was not particularly fond of the sauce.

Despite some mixed reviews on the food, the service at Chili's Grill & Bar is generally described as great. If you are in the Tampa area and looking for a Chinese restaurant that offers a familiar American menu with generally good service, Chili's could be an option, especially for drinks and appetizers. Food is edible Used to be very good, but now, just ok. They Definitely aren’t using a good Bloody Mary mix. It tastes mostly like spicy ketchup, noticeable compared to other places. Applebees is much better these days.

The service was great! I ordered my cheeseburger medium. It wasn't. I also ordered chili, and it was unusually dark and tasted burnt. I'll stick to drinks and appetizers at Chili's. My MIL had steak, she said it was cooked perfect and seasoned well. My husband had ribs. He enjoyed them but didn't care for the sauce.

My "chicken," sandwich was horrible! It was mostly breading and was very hard and the little bit of chicken that was actually there was dry and tough. It's as if you took some pieces of chicken and put them together to form a shape of a chicken breast then triple breaded it. It's pretty bad when I can say Wendy's is actually better. Aside from that I ordered online while in your parking lot and waited for the text that my food was ready. I went directly inside and directly home and my food was not hot. The mango tea that I get regularly was so sweet I couldn't drink it even after diluting it. Also now that I picked the sandwich apart and ate what I could of the so called chicken sandwich I feel sick. I have ordered from your restaurant regularly for several years and I don't intend on coming back anytime soon. You would think that your quality would be better than this considering the economy.

Hit or miss. Standard quality ingredients for a large chain. Really is what you expect at the large established chains. Nothing terrible. Nothing great. But overall a reasonable place with reasonable prices and decent food where some items are great and others are so-so. The chili on this visit was way too bold. Very dark and over spiced with seasonings with an overall burned flavor. It was uniquely not very good. The burger though was actually quite good. Average quality ingredients but it came together nicely. And while the meat itself was a tad on the greasy side, the overall flavor profile was good. I'd skip the chili and do a Sante Fe burger again for sure.
