About Chieng Garden 翠园餐厅

Chieng Garden 翠园餐厅 is a Chinese restaurant located at 165 Main St in Lincoln, New Hampshire (zip code 03251). Situated on the second floor above Enzo’s Pizza, Chieng Garden offers a unique dining experience as a family-owned establishment focused on serving homemade Chinese cuisine. They can be contacted by phone at (603) 745-8612 or their mobile number, +1 603-745-8612.

The environment of Chieng Garden is described by one enthusiastic reviewer as a "Hidden Gem." This suggests that while its location might be somewhat unexpected, the restaurant offers a pleasant and perhaps surprising atmosphere once discovered. The fact that it is family-owned often implies a personal touch and a commitment to creating a welcoming space for diners. While specific details about the decor or ambiance are not provided, the positive description suggests a comfortable setting for enjoying a meal, especially after activities like hiking or skiing in the Lincoln, NH area.

In terms of services, Chieng Garden appears to offer both takeout and dine-in options. The positive review mentions dining at the restaurant, and the nature of a family-owned establishment typically includes welcoming guests to eat on-site. Additionally, the provision of lunch specials from Monday to Friday indicates a structured service during weekday afternoons, catering to those looking for a midday meal. These lunch specials reportedly include soup, rice, and an appetizer, offering a complete and value-oriented meal.

The features of Chieng Garden are highlighted through specific dishes that have garnered praise. A standout item is the Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings, described as a "must-order." These homemade dumplings are served with a freshly made ginger soy sauce that is so appealing it leaves diners "craving more." The fact that they are homemade underscores the restaurant's commitment to quality and fresh ingredients.

Another featured item is their Egg Rolls, also made in-house. These are described as "packed with flavor" and featuring a "delicious Chinese five-spice blend," indicating a thoughtful approach to traditional flavors. The homemade nature of the egg rolls further supports the idea of a focus on quality ingredients and preparation.

The Chicken Fingers are also noted as being homemade, as well as "tender and juicy," suggesting a simple yet well-executed dish that might appeal to a wide range of customers, including families with children.

The Beef and Chicken Teriyaki is described as "savory and sweet" and a "perfect blend of flavors," indicating a well-balanced dish that combines these popular tastes. This suggests a broader appeal beyond traditional Chinese dishes.

Finally, the Egg Foo Young is mentioned as a "classic done to perfection." The reviewer specifically enjoys it with a curry sauce and even requests it on the side, indicating a willingness to accommodate customer preferences and perhaps a unique twist on a traditional dish.

However, it is important to note that not all reviews are entirely positive. One customer reported that the "Food was lacking taste, appeal and portion." They also mentioned that two ordered dishes (Mixed vegetables & sizzling delight) had a similar taste and cooking style, and the chicken noodle soup was described as "literally chicken, soggy noodles and bland water." This negative feedback contrasts sharply with the glowing review and suggests potential inconsistencies in food quality or perhaps different experiences with various menu items.

Promotional information is present in the form of their "incredible lunch specials" available Monday to Friday, which include soup, rice, and an appetizer. This offers a specific value proposition for weekday lunch customers. Beyond this, no other promotional offers or discounts are mentioned in the provided text.

In conclusion, Chieng Garden 翠园餐厅 in Lincoln, NH, appears to be a family-owned Chinese restaurant with a focus on homemade dishes. It is described as a "Hidden Gem" with a clean environment. Services include both dine-in and takeout, with lunch specials available on weekdays. Standout dishes, according to one reviewer, include the pan-fried pork dumplings, egg rolls, chicken fingers, beef and chicken teriyaki, and egg foo young. However, another review indicates potential issues with the taste, appeal, and portion sizes of some dishes, as well as a lack of distinctiveness between certain menu items and a poorly executed chicken noodle soup. Local users should consider these contrasting opinions when deciding to visit. The positive review strongly recommends the restaurant and highlights the quality and freshness of ingredients, while the negative review raises concerns about the overall culinary experience. Trying some of the highly recommended dishes might be a good starting point to form an individual opinion of Chieng Garden.

Food was lacking taste, appeal and portion. Ordered 2 dishes (Mixed vegetables & sizzling delight) that have similar taste and way of cooking. Chicken noodle soup was literally chicken, soggy noodles and bland water.

My wife and I stopped in to have Chinese food on our vacation. Chieng Garden did NOT dissapoint. The food here was outstanding. The Host was very quick to seat us and provide us drinks. The waiter greeted us and was very pleasant. We ordered the Tangerine Triple Delight, and the Appetizer Platter with Substitutions. The waiter was quick to correct the Mistakes the Kitchen made, without needing to remind him. The horror stories written in past reviews have either been corrected, or were never true to begin with. Do not listen to these! If you decide to come here, You will not be disappointed! Have Fun!

Located on the 2nd floor of the Lincoln Square plaza, this restaurant is often overlooked by passerby. They actually have a really nice dining area overlooking the South Mountain Ski Resort. The restaurant is the same location where the Lahout's Summit Shop and Subway. Large parking lot. Food is great with large of selections as typical Chinese restaurant.
