Information regarding the environment and ambiance of Chens Garden is not provided in the available customer reviews. Typically, Chinese restaurants offer a casual dining setting, but specific details about the décor, seating arrangements, and overall atmosphere at Chens Garden are not mentioned. Potential customers who are interested in dining in may wish to contact the restaurant directly or look for external information, such as online photos, to get a sense of the environment.

In terms of services, the reviews indicate that Chens Garden offers takeout service, as both reviewers mentioned ordering and picking up food. It is reasonable to assume that they also provide dine-in service for customers who prefer to eat at the restaurant location. Delivery service is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, so it is unclear if they offer this directly or through third-party platforms. If delivery is a preferred option, it would be advisable to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their availability.

The culinary features of Chens Garden, as reflected in the customer reviews, present a generally negative perception of the food quality, with one notable exception. One customer who ordered chicken wings and house fried rice described the food as "horrible." They found the three jumbo wings to be "so tough that it wasn’t enjoyable" and the rice to be "flavorless," even after adding soy sauce. This reviewer also noted that the presentation of the food was unappealing and felt that the meal was a disappointment for the price paid, recommending others to seek better quality elsewhere.

Another customer who ordered takeout with a coworker also reported issues with the food. Their coworker found the chicken fried rice to be "bland." This customer's Szechuan Chicken was described as lacking in taste, with a significant portion of the chicken being "fatty pieces" trimmed from dark meat, with only "1 or 2 actually pieces of chicken." This suggests a potential issue with the quality of ingredients and the preparation of some of their main dishes.

The only positive feedback regarding the food was for the steamed dumplings, which were described as "good" by the second reviewer. This indicates that while some items on the menu may be satisfactory, there are significant concerns raised about the quality and flavor of other dishes, such as the chicken wings, house fried rice, and Szechuan chicken.

Promotional information for Chens Garden is not mentioned in the provided reviews. It is common for restaurants to offer special deals or discounts to attract customers. To learn about any current promotions, lunch specials, or other offers at Chens Garden, potential customers would need to contact the restaurant directly or check if they have any online presence where such information might be advertised.

In conclusion, the limited customer reviews available for Chens Garden in Holly Springs, NC, suggest significant concerns regarding the quality and flavor of their food, particularly the chicken wings, house fried rice, and Szechuan chicken. While the steamed dumplings were noted as being good, the overall feedback points to a potentially disappointing dining experience for some customers. The lack of information about the restaurant's environment and the absence of any mentioned promotions make it challenging to provide a more comprehensive introduction. Local users considering Chens Garden should be aware of the negative feedback regarding food quality and may want to weigh this against the positive mention of the steamed dumplings. It might be prudent to seek additional, more recent reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective before making a decision.

Before deciding to dine at or order from Chens Garden, you may want to consider the following:

  • Be aware of the negative feedback regarding the flavor and quality of the chicken wings, house fried rice, and Szechuan chicken.
  • Note that the steamed dumplings were the only dish mentioned positively in the provided reviews.
  • Consider searching for more recent reviews on platforms like Google Reviews or Yelp to see if there are more varied opinions or if the issues raised have been addressed.
  • If food quality is a primary concern, you might want to explore other Chinese restaurant options in the Holly Springs area.
  • Contact Chens Garden directly at (919) 557-7363 to inquire about their menu, services (dine-in, takeout, delivery), and any current promotions. You might also ask for more details about the preparation and quality of the dishes that received negative feedback.

By considering these points and potentially gathering more information, you can make a more informed decision about whether Chens Garden aligns with your expectations for a local Chinese dining experience in Holly Springs, NC.

Food was horrible, ordered chicken wings and house friend rice. You only get three jumbo wings which was so tough that it wasn’t enjoyable. The rice had no flavor even after adding two packs of soy sauce. I have never have bad chicken wings and rice. The presentation of the food didn’t even look good. I had already paid for it and discovered what was stapled in a styrofoam plate when I arrived home. Paid close to $14 for this disappointment. Go somewhere else for quality food for the price they charge you.

My coworker and I ordered take out. My regular place is closed on Sundays so I picked this restaurant. Her chicken fried rice was bland. My Szechuan Chicken didn't have a lot of taste. 95% of the chicken appears to be fatty pieces that they trimmed from dark meat. I got maybe 1 or 2 actually pieces of chicken and the rest were fatty. The steamed dumplings were good.

Take out. Ribs 6 out of 10 (slightly burned), hot and sour soup 8 out of 10 ( nice flavour with plenty of silken tofu), pork with mushrooms 8 out of 10 (good amount of mushrooms). Service was very friendly. As far as Chinese take out in this area goes, it's ok.

We likely went on an off night as they were slammed. However, we waited patiently for our food hoping it would be of quality. We called in around 5:45 and was told the order would be ready for pickup in 30-40 minutes. At around 6:15 my boyfriend went to the restaurant to pick up the order. He said the line was out the door. We ended up waiting an hour for our food to be done. We finally get back to eat our food and I discover my dish is nothing but breading. We paid extra for all white meat, we didn’t ask for extra breading. Over half of my dish was nothing but fried batter. My boyfriend said his dish was very bland, as his chicken was under seasoned and tough. The fried rice was deplorable. It was the equivalent to eating yellow rice straight from a box. No flavor. 100% do not recommend.

Great food and customer service!! Today we had Sweet and Sour Chicken and Singapore Mei fun. The dine-in section is small but adequate and clean. My apologies, photos were taken after we ate but the portions are plentiful and filling.
