Chengdu Spicy Chinese Cuisine

The hot pot was good! The tomato soup has a hint of tangy to it but not spicy and was delicious. I enjoyed the skewers concepts it made it easier and faster to eat they’re very convenient. This has probably been my fifth time here. They have a really good variety of vegetables and seafood as well as assorted meats

My friend has lived in Chengdu and so we were really excited to try this restaurant. This place’s ambiance was bright, and it was clean. We didn’t know whether to seat ourselves as no one greeted us at first until we walked to a table. At this point, a server confirmed that we can take a seat at the table we walked up to. We ordered the double soup bases which included the spicy. We picked the summer lemon soup base for the second one. We love spicy food and my friend told me that this place was very authentic and spot on in terms of the Chengdu flavour profile. We really liked how everything was skewered which made it a lot easier for us to pick out the meats from the soup. The summer lemon soup base was a great complement to the spicy soup. It really helps cut the spiciness and it was a light broth with lots of flavour and a refreshing citrus taste. The summer lemon was also great for the seafood and the vegetables and we kept the spicy for all the meats. They have a wide selection of meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles. You also get to make your own sauce mix for dipping. Overall, the food was 5/5. The service itself could’ve been better as it felt like the staff weren’t particularly attentive. The rice wasn’t refilled as well as the condensed milk. One of us had to scrape the condensed milk container and the staff saw this but didn’t proceed to refill.

I recently visited this hotpot restaurant, and overall, it was pretty average compared to other hotpot places I’ve been to. The service was also just okay. One thing that stood out to me was that they charged for refilling the water in the pot, which I hadn’t experienced elsewhere before. The staff didn’t seem very attentive when taking orders, and I felt like they could improve their interactions with customers. Since it’s a self-service restaurant, I expected more regular checks to make sure nothing was missing from the food, vegetables, and meat sections, but that wasn’t the case during my visit. Considering the price of around $47 per person, I expected much better service.

This hot pot place offers a wide range of variety of seafoods and meat in skewer,( u have to get it yourself on the stand) .im a seafood lover so had a feast on their lobster ,crabs and other stuff.aside from delicious food they offer ,the price is very reasonable and cheaper from the other hot pot i went to.30dollars per person plus the broth ( u have to pay for the broth each table) for one broth its 15 dollars but if u want 2 broth in one hot pot kts for 19 dollars amd if u pay cash ( 4 adulrs and more) u get free drinks which is really refreshing..i recommend the pork bone soup and if u want the spicy soup get the mild one bcoz its really spicy but yummy .

A horrible customer service experience. My husband and I have been coming here for a total of 4 dine ins and this is our first time to experience this here. This is what happened: We came here for our early dinner, a server asked us if we will pay cash or card. She said if we pay cash, we will each have a drink of fruit tea for FREE. So we decided to pay cash because of the free drinks. Everything is good up until when we asked for the bill. Our total bill was $75.95 as seen on the receipt. I handed over $100, when she gave me my change it was only 13. I was confused and thought she might have counted it wrong so I asked for the remainder of our change. She said the amount on the bill that we need to pay is $87.37 ($75.95 plus 15% tips) as you can see the amount she encircled with the blue pen. I asked her why?, she said we need to pay 15% tip because we got FREE drinks. I said what if I don't want to give a different amount for the tip?, she said NO because WE AVAIL FREE FRUIT TEA SO WE WILL BE PAYING THE PRICE THAT HAS 15% TIPS!". I ASKED FOR THE CHANGE, STILL SHE INSISTED. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong in giving tip but at this situation how will I voluntarily give a tip if WE FELT THAT WE WERE FORCED BY HER?! SHE EVEN CHARGED US IN A WRONG PRICE- As you can see in the reciept she charged us FRIDAY-SUN&HOLIDAYS PRICE even we went there on WEDNESDAY! PLEASE TAKE A LOOK FROM THIS!
