About Chen's Dynasty

Welcome to Chen's Dynasty, a Chinese restaurant located at 5069 River Rd N, Keizer, OR 97303. As a Chinese restaurant within the platform category, Chen's Dynasty offers a range of Chinese dishes for the local community in Keizer. You can contact them at (503) 393-6718 or via their mobile number +1 503-393-6718.

Based on the available customer reviews, the atmosphere at Chen's Dynasty is described as "okay" but "very dated." One reviewer noted specific aspects of the decor that contributed to this impression, including ripped seats and old, dingy ceiling tiles. This suggests that while the environment might be functional, it may not be the primary draw for customers seeking a modern or particularly inviting ambiance. However, another reviewer referred to it as a "Cute Lil family restaurant," which could imply a more personal and perhaps less formal setting.

In terms of services, Chen's Dynasty appears to cater to both dine-in and takeout customers. One reviewer who dined in mentioned the waitress being "super attentive and friendly," highlighting a positive aspect of the dine-in experience. However, another reviewer explicitly stated, "It's definitely a spot to get the food to go. It's not really a dine in spot." This contrasting feedback suggests that while dine-in service is available, the overall environment might be better suited for takeout orders. It's advisable for customers considering dining in to manage their expectations regarding the ambiance.

The reviews offer mixed opinions on the food quality at Chen's Dynasty. One reviewer found the food to be "too blah" and lacking in special flavors. They specifically critiqued the pork in the pork fried rice, describing it as grated and barely noticeable. They also mentioned that the sauces on the dishes they tried were very simple and unremarkable. Additionally, this reviewer pointed out that drinks are served in cans, with refills costing extra, which might be a consideration for some diners.

On the other hand, another reviewer stated, "Great food and really good prices." This positive feedback directly contradicts the negative assessment of the food quality from the other reviewer. This discrepancy suggests that the experience with the food at Chen's Dynasty might vary, or that certain dishes are more well-received than others. Without more specific information about the dishes ordered by the second reviewer, it's difficult to pinpoint which items are considered "great." However, the mention of "really good prices" indicates that affordability might be a strong point for Chen's Dynasty.

The contrasting opinions on the food and the environment suggest that Chen's Dynasty might be a practical option for those prioritizing convenience and potentially lower prices over a refined dining experience or particularly flavorful cuisine. The friendly and attentive service noted by one reviewer is a definite positive aspect for those who do choose to dine in.

Currently, no specific promotional information for Chen's Dynasty has been mentioned in the provided reviews. It is common for family-run restaurants to have their own set of specials or pricing strategies that might appeal to budget-conscious customers. To inquire about any current promotions, daily specials, or the pricing of specific menu items, it would be best to contact Chen's Dynasty directly at (503) 393-6718.

In conclusion, Chen's Dynasty in Keizer, OR, is a Chinese restaurant that appears to offer a mix of experiences based on the limited customer feedback. While one reviewer praised the great food and prices and suggested it's a good spot for takeout, another found the food to be bland and the dine-in environment dated. The service was noted as attentive and friendly by one diner. Chen's Dynasty might be a suitable option for those seeking affordable Chinese food, particularly for takeout, but potential dine-in customers should be aware of the described dated atmosphere. To get the most accurate information about their menu, current specials, and services, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

While the waitress was super attentive and friendly, the food was too blah, the pork in the pork fried rice seemed like it was grated and mixed in so I could barley tell itbwas there, the drinks are in a can so the refills cost extra. The sauce on the couple of dishes we had were very simple and lacking anything special. The atmosphere was okay, but very dated, seats ripped, old dingy ceiling tiles too. If your in a pinch this place will work well, but not somewhere I would go out of my way for

I ordered a large bowl of hot and sour soup. I have had the hot and sour soup at Chen's Dynasty II, in Portland. This was a watered-down broth, with little in it. I added some black pepper and it was a decent taste, just devoid of vegetables and tofu the soup normally contains, with no thickness. The dynasty has fallen.
