Absolutely loved eating here! The Chinese food is amazing and we met Chef Chu himself! He is so nice and we told him we loved his son’s movies! The sweet & sour pork was amazing! Even my extremely picky toddler ate it and loved it! My favorite dish was the mu-shu pork! It was the best I’ve ever had. This is a great upscale atmosphere. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good Chinese food.

Classic, top-notch Chinese food on the Peninsula. So many good dishes, and the owners and wait staff are friendly and professional. Really really good cocktails too!

The restaurant features two menus: one with traditional Chinese cuisine and another offering a Western flair. Both are exceptional, but the Peking Duck is a must-try (be sure to ask for the duck bones to take home, as there’s still plenty of meat)! The shrimp lettuce wrap appetizer is another standout dish. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with no formal attire required. The friendly, attentive service enhances the experience, making you feel like a valued guest. Paired with their incredible teas, every dish is a delight. Chef Chu’s remains our favorite Chinese restaurant, offering authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and a dining experience that is unparalleled. Highly recommend!

We got this place recommended by a colleague who already went there. When we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes until they had a table ready for us, which is quite good. We ordered a plate variety for three persons with soup and dessert. The food arrived quick and the servers did their job pretty well. Unfortunately the prawns were cold and were not tasting good. The rest of the food was great tho. I would still recommend going here.

This place is easy to review - five stars! Has one of the warmest welcomes and a truly elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. The food is a mix of American Chinese dishes and a few more authentic Chinese recipes - something for everyone. The drinks menu is also wonderful and I can personally recommend the Mai Tai's. The restaurant has seen more than its fair share of celebrity visitors over the years, but is also a favourite with locals. Also, ( unlike many other restaurants I've been to in the bay area) I think first time customers are also given a warm welcome and if you return, they are sure to remember you. Absolutely love this place! ❤️
