Chef Chen

We tried this place for dinner one evening. You go to the cashier towards the back of the restaurant to place your order. If you are eating in they will bring the food to your table. The portions here are huge. We usually like to share a plate. We ordered the Orange Chicken with Fried Rice and a bowl of Egg Drop Soup. The food was fantastic cooked to perfection. The Egg Drop Soup was very delicious. The employees are very helpful and friendly. We found the restaurant to be clean. We cannot wait to return.

If you are looking for a truly remarkable Chinese restaurant, then look no further. Each and everytime we have ordered from Chef Chen their dishes are delicious! Some of our favorites which are pictured below. Cathay Combo, which has a fantastic variety of chicken, beef, shrimp and veggies all in a flavorful brown sauce. General Tso's chicken...crispy fried chicken in a wonderfully spicy sauce and last but not least chicken lettuce wraps... Minced chicken, water chestnuts accompanied with a wonderful dipping or pour on soy style sauce with generous portion of lettuce leaves to wrap the chicken. We have been going to Chef Chen for years and we have tried other places but NONE can compare. Casual, reasonable and always delicious!!!

Delicious food fast and fresh! 1st time eating in, but have ordered delivery multiple times. Didn't disappoint. Had the beef and broccoli and had them make it spicy. Husband had the sweet and sour chicken and they made it spicy as well. A little warm inside, but what can you expect with the cook cooking it fresh!

Chef Chen might more than Rowlett's best Chinese restaurant, it might be the best in the surrounding area. I will drive 40-50 mins to get a bite from Chef Chen. The lunch specials are filling. The egg rolls are delicious as well. My go to is Sesame Chicken with fried rice. Highly recommend!

Hole in the wall I stopped in just before 5pm for my pickup. Service was great greeted as I came in the door. I had ordered while on my way I had about a 2 min wait. Got it home hot and fresh. The spring roll was tender and crispy with right amount of filling I wish I had asked for mustard but I forgot. Hot and sour soup is spectacular. And finally I got the Veggie Dan Dan bowl, to try...spice is FIRE!! Very good all this will make at least 2 meals for me probably 3 but its so yummy. Will def be back to try differnt foods.
