Chatman's Chicken Restaurant

I've passed this place like a billion times. Finally I stopped in. EVERYONE I mean everyone there greeted us and made us feel so welcome. Like family. We ordered the riblettes, fish, chicken tenders and fried chicken. I had the ribelettes and the were so meaty and tender. The okra was so good and macaroni was moist. Everything was piping hot and fresh to order. You can get anything reg, spicy or lemon pepper. I had the Kool aid it was super sweet like God intended. This place is a MUST! Thank you for a great experience!

LEMON PEPPER 🔥 that had to be the best chicken 🐔 I've ever had. I used to be a vendor for Mr Chatman, and in the five years of working with him, he's always been nothing short of kind and respectful. The prep chicken always smelled good, so I've been curious and finally gave it a shot today. I'm surprised and not surprised. Chatman has years of experience, so of course, it was 💯 crispy, hot! But what makes me mad is how come no one told me there's Lemon Pepper Chicken!? At the same time, I'm asking I'm answering my own question. It's soo good you almost want to keep it a seceret. Anyways I'm hooked! Anytime I'm in the area, I'm pulling through most definitely. 11/21/24 😆 I clocked out for lunch today and drove out of the way to pick up another 3 piece chicken only lemon pepper. It's so good. 11/23/24 I was out working o.t. and had to swing by again on my way home. 11/27/24 picked up another 3 piece dark lemon pep for a family member to try. I tried a medium Okra, and it was good. Churches Okra can be a little slimy, these weren't. I filled up on them alone.

Chicken is really good and flavorful and they let you add a flavor. My favorite is lemon pepper and second is the Cajun spice. I got the 3 piece with fries and mac

I work right down the road and so many of my coworkers have suggested this place. Let me tell you this place is amazing. I had the three piece mix/spicy. Sides were Mac n cheese and okra. The food is amazing and had great flavor. Definitely worth coming to and eating in. With all that said that’s not what really got me. An older man who I assume is the owner really brought back some faith in humanity. He stopped a man walking but who looked like had fallen on hard times. Gave him food and a drink. He did this not as an act of attention but rather just being a good man. It’s places like this that still know what it means to be human. He has my business now and until the end of time. Come here for the great/friendly staff and the home cooked food. Feels like a warm place to eat some good fried chicken.

We did takeout from here last week. We ordered the family meal of Fried Chicken with large Okra and French Fries for the sides. We also ordered the Chicken Tenders meal with fries, a roll and gravy. All of the food was not, great tasting and freshly made. The chicken pieces were actual regular sized pieces of chicken and not the drummette size others restaurants have resorted to giving out in the orders. We will definitely return here again and would highly recommend that you visit them.
