Charlie Horse Restaurant

Visited Charlie Horse on Tuesday for their crab special, and it did not disappoint! We ordered 2 lbs of crab legs, garlic mashed potatoes, garlic red potatoes, coconut shrimp, loaded tater tots, and the fried seafood combo with fries. The crab legs were hot, cracked easily, and tasted fantastic. The loaded tater tots were perfectly crispy, loaded with cheese and bacon—absolutely delicious. The coconut shrimp was flavorful, and the fried combo was fresh and tasty. We were seated within 10 minutes, and the service was excellent. Elaine, our server, was attentive and proactive—she made sure our drinks were refilled and brought extra butter without us needing to ask. We ended our meal with the key lime and Florida orange cakes. Both were great, but we especially recommend the Florida orange cake—it was the perfect sweet finish! The key lime sauce had a refreshing tartness that reminded me of green apples. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

Got some Togo for lunch. We had the fish sandwich and the chicken sandwich. The fish was pricey at $20 but there was quite a bit of fish there so. Fries were crispy but bland. Like no seasoning what so ever. That chicken sandwich had a really great taste too it no doubt. Tartar sauce was good. All in all I would go back. Check pricing before ordering next time. Recommended

We had an excellent experience at CHR. It was very busy . . . however, we were seated within 5 min. with attentive service. We ordered a Thursday Special, "fried haddock dinner" and a "Monterey chicken sandwich --- both looked appetizing and proved to be delicious . . . quality and quantity. The $10 large pitcher of beer added to the night! (We were walking -- not driving). I highly recommend the Charlie Horse's daily specials and their large menu!!

Family-friendly atmosphere. Good number of food items to choose from. Service was friendly even during a busy dinner seating. However, meals were delivered incomplete and took even longer to fix. I've had better hushpuppies at Long John Silvers compared to these little dough balls. Ironically, I even had a conversation about hushpuppies with the waitress prior to ordering the meal, one of the reasons for ordering my meal in the first place. I can recommend the restaurant, but not the hushpuppies!

I've been here quite a few times I like the atmosphere. The bartenders are super nice and attentive. I love their nachos. Everything I've tried from the menu I've enjoyed. The only thing I don't like are the bar stools they can be a little uncomfortable especially if you are short and they are a little wobbly which makes me nervous sometimes but besides that I have no issues with this place. I enjoy coming here as a local.
