About Chang An Express

Welcome to Chang An Express, a Chinese restaurant located at 142 W Stetson Ave in Hemet, California. As part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Chang An Express aims to serve the local community with a variety of Chinese cuisine options. While specific details about the restaurant's history and previous reputation are alluded to in customer reviews, this introduction will focus on providing an objective overview based on the recent feedback available.

Based on the limited information from recent customer reviews, it appears that Chang An Express offers both dine-in and takeout services. One reviewer mentioned dining in for a "Sunday 4 item spec," suggesting the availability of in-house dining and potentially special offers on certain days. The fact that customers are physically present to order and receive food also implies a takeout service. However, there is no explicit mention of delivery services in the provided reviews, so local users interested in this option may need to contact the restaurant directly at (951) 392-3300 or +1 951-392-3300 to inquire about its availability.

The recent customer reviews provide some insight into the current environment of Chang An Express. One reviewer noted that during their visit, "Most of the pans were empty or close to empty," which could indicate issues with food availability or the timing of food preparation. This might impact the dining experience for customers expecting a full selection of dishes. Another reviewer who dined in mentioned a specific "Sunday 4 item spec," suggesting that the restaurant might have particular promotions or offerings on certain days of the week. However, the overall impression from the reviews does not paint a picture of a particularly inviting or well-maintained environment, as the focus is primarily on the negative aspects of the food and service.

The services at Chang An Express, based on the reviews, include both dine-in and takeout. However, recent feedback raises concerns about the quality of these services. One reviewer expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the food and indicated they would not return. Another reviewer recounted a problematic experience involving inedible food, a lack of compensation for a previous issue, and a subsequent promise of improvement that was not fulfilled. These accounts suggest potential inconsistencies in food quality and customer service. While the restaurant is open for business and processes orders, local users should be aware of the recent negative feedback regarding the overall service experience.

Recent customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the features and quality of the food at Chang An Express. One reviewer stated that the food "wasn't even edible," describing it as having "no flavor" and tasting "old." They also noted that the trays were smaller and the prices higher compared to a previous experience, implying a potential decline in value. Even the wontons, which were ordered fresh, were described as "downgraded" with hardly any filling. Another reviewer detailed an experience with "completely unedible" chicken that was "dried hard BAD," old and dry rice (for which they had to pay extra), and a general lack of care from the restaurant regarding food quality. These reviews paint a concerning picture of the current state of the food being served at Chang An Express.

While the specific menu items are not extensively listed in the negative reviews, there are mentions of chicken dishes (specifically, a "Sunday 4 item spec" and general chicken that was inedible), rice (described as old and dry), and wontons (noted for a decrease in filling). One reviewer also mentioned that most of the food pans were empty or nearly empty, suggesting a limited selection or issues with restocking during service hours. These limited mentions provide some insight into the types of dishes offered, which are likely standard American-Chinese fare, but the recent feedback strongly indicates significant problems with the preparation and quality of these items.

Promotional information is scarce in the provided reviews. One reviewer mentioned a "(Sunday 4 item spec)," which suggests a potential Sunday special offering a combination of four items. However, the experience with this special was overwhelmingly negative, with the food being described as inedible. There is no other information regarding ongoing promotions, discounts, or special offers. Local users should probably not rely on finding attractive promotions based on the recent feedback, as the primary concern seems to be the quality and value of the regular menu items.

In conclusion, recent customer reviews for Chang An Express in Hemet present a highly negative picture. Feedback indicates significant issues with food quality, including lack of flavor, staleness, and inedible dishes. There are also concerns about reduced portion sizes, increased prices, and poor customer service, with one reviewer recounting an unresolved issue with a previous bad meal. The mention of empty or near-empty food pans suggests potential problems with food availability during service hours. While the restaurant offers dine-in and takeout services and may have occasional specials like the "(Sunday 4 item spec)," the overwhelming sentiment from recent reviews is one of extreme dissatisfaction. Local users considering Chang An Express should be aware of this recent negative feedback, which raises serious concerns about the overall dining experience and value for money. It would be prudent to exercise caution and perhaps consider alternative Chinese restaurants in the Hemet area based on the information available.

I wish the old owners were still here. Went today, the trays are smaller, prices higher, and food wasn't even edible. There's no flavor, and everything tastes old. Most of the pans were empty or close to empty. The wontons were the only thing fresh( because we ordered them), and those even got downgraded, hardly any filling now. Would have given 0 stars if I could. I will never eat here again sadly, it used to be one of the best places to go. $30 in the trash.

Was here for (Sunday 4 item spec) unbelievable! I don't know how this restaurant gets away with serving food like this.I was here 7wks back on Sunday gave back to employee asian woman then I had Pay again order egg foo young wich was great fresh made from scratch. Zero 0 compensation whatsoever! . Completely unedible Chicken was all dried hard BAD! Rice was old/dry and they don't give it for free. You have to pay$ so the food should be edible. But Rest does not care as long as they make money, that's all they care about? The employee had the audacity to tell me she remembers Me so this time the chicken WILL be more tender and rice, not all dried out.? I really expected them to replace meal cuz? I bought it right back, left it on the counter.Very nice without yelling cursing, causing any scene.Whatsoever no apology or replace a couple of the items cuz? I bought it came right back, left it on the counter. Very nice without yelling cursing, causing any scene whatsoever. Yeah, I was shocked that she remembered me but couldnt care less about my last visit unable to eat meal I paid for.? Why whould I Ever go back.Believed it would be different. Boy was I wrong. Its a shame there are restaurants like this.

I was very disappointed by my last choice in Asian cuisine. They were rude, opened late, and even more rude. So I waited 20 minutes and came here instead. They are open early, happy and eager to serve. I will not go back to the other one on stetson and esplanade again. I'll gladly wait to come here. The food is great, service is amazing, polite, friendly, clean and delicious. These guys have a Sunday special that's amazing!!

Came by for some lunch on my break, the food was subpar, the chow mein and teriyaki was pretty good but, the rice was bland, the orange chicken was hard in the middle, the chicken egg rolls had 0 chicken?¿ Then I found this hair on my plate. Ruined my entire appetite. I should’ve known better. I’m sticking to Mr. You’s
