RIP OFF! this was our first time here- ordered FOUR LARGE lo mein- they were in a small container.. we asked about the size and the guy said it was a large, so we asked to see the size "small" container AND IT WAS THE SAME SIZE AS LARGE just in a oval container. THEY'RE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF- should've been a tip off when we saw the buffet was shut down. the food itself was bland and crab rangoon was only okay.ish- not really great in all but doable enough for the night- if you do go here just order the small lo mein and save your money. personally, we'll NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. also rude customer service on the phone and in person.
Bought 130 dollars of food. ALL of it was spoiled. Since the hurricane power outage I have come across both grocery store items and restaurant items that were stale. (expired flour) It doesn't make you sick (necessarily) it just tastes and smells horrible. You have to have no taste buds to think this food is good..Felt like this picture after eating....
Tried Chang An as an alternative to TR Oriental. Everything about it was inferior to our past TR Oriental orders. The food tasted like one of the ingredients was paint thinner. Very disappointing and chemically-tasting. This being said, I heard that TR Oriental had a recent change of ownership. The current online menus for both TR Oriental and Chang An are very similar, so if Chang An has taken over TR Oriental, then Chinese food in TR just took a turn for the worse.
Food is so delicious! Cheap but volume is huge! I will come again for sure. BTW the boss and his wife is so friendly! They serve us a good fish soup!
I stopped here for the first time ever. It's no longer a buffet, thanks to covid closings but at least there's take out. I ordered a pork fried egg roll, pork fried rice and crab rangoons. Service was pleasant and very fast. Food was very, very good! The rice is loaded with pieces of roast pork and it's tender, flavorful fried rice. The crab rangoons are huge, very crabby flavor and crispy while the sauce was acceptable. My eggroll was the disappointment because it didn't have anything other than vegetables in it ( I think the order taker may not have understood me) but it is an excellent eggroll in flavor and crispiness otherwise. In fact, I'd order it again anyway. I'll definitely stop in again and order again. I highly recommend this restaurant!
