About Chan An

Chan An, a Chinese Restaurant located at 37 Walsh Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, USA, can be contacted at (412) 921-7707 or +1 412-921-7707.

Customer reviews indicate significant concerns regarding the dining experience at Chan An. One reviewer explicitly advises against dining in, describing the atmosphere as "not inviting at all." While they tried the food due to limited options in the area, they reported that it was not good and caused stomach discomfort after only a few bites. The service was characterized as typical of a "hole-in-the-wall Chinese spot," implying it was unremarkable.

Another long-term customer expressed sadness over a perceived decline in the restaurant's quality. They mentioned that after moving to the area four years ago, Chan An was initially "THE BEST" for two years. However, their recent experience indicates a significant drop in standards, with dumplings now being microwaved, resulting in a rubbery texture, and the General Tso's chicken consisting mostly of fried filler. This customer, who used to love the place, believes that "something went wrong." Based on these reviews, Chan An appears to be a Chinese restaurant where the focus might be more on takeout rather than the dine-in experience, and there are concerns about the current quality of some of their dishes.

Chan Ann definitely isn’t a place you’d want to dine in—the atmosphere isn’t inviting at all. There weren’t many food options in the area, so I figured I’d give it a shot since it’s Chinese food. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t good, and after just a couple of bites, it made my stomach hurt. The service was exactly what you’d expect from a typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese spot—nothing special. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.

So sad. We moved here four years ago and for two years this place was THE BEST! Now the dumplings are heated in a microwave. Theyre so rubbery and the generals chicken is mostly fried filler. Used to love this place but something went wrong.

If you get the older woman, everything will be good. If you get the older man or either of the young people, your order will likely be wrong, if they even put it in. Drove here just for him to claim I never placed the order. Inconsistent, but when it's good it's good. Double check what you receive.

What chicken soup should look like! Delicious and warming to the soul. The chips made it that much better. So full i can't eat my egg roll but those are ALWAYS good too!
