About Caribbean Hotpot Grill

Craving authentic Caribbean flavors right here in Singapore? While Caribbean Hotpot Grill is actually located at 12005 Veterans Memorial Dr A, Houston, TX 77066, USA, let's imagine you're a local Singaporean user looking for a similar culinary experience. Though physically distant, we can explore what makes this restaurant special based on customer reviews, giving you an idea of what to look for in a Caribbean eatery here.

Caribbean Hotpot Grill, despite its name suggesting hotpot and grill, appears to be a Chinese Restaurant category on some platforms, which might be a categorization error. Based on customer feedback, it truly shines as a Caribbean restaurant offering a variety of flavorful dishes. Customers rave about the "de-li-cious" and tender stew chicken, with one reviewer emphatically refuting a previous comment about it being dry. The oxtails also come highly recommended, described as hitting "da Spot." For those who enjoy a bit of spice, the jerk chicken is noted for being "hot and the chicken ess flavorful!" While rotis might not always be available, the positive reviews suggest the other offerings are well worth trying.

The atmosphere is described as "ok" with warm and welcoming colors. The presence of Bob Marley's music and a painted mural adds a unique and relaxed Caribbean vibe. You'll find comfortable seating at tables, and there's also a bar area where you can enjoy cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.

While the serving style in the US involves single-use packaging, which might differ from practices in Singapore, the focus on tasty food and a welcoming staff is a consistent highlight. Customers also appreciate the convenient ample parking available at the Houston location. If you're searching for a restaurant in Singapore that offers similarly flavorful Caribbean cuisine and a friendly atmosphere, keep an eye out for establishments that specialize in dishes like stewed meats, oxtails, and jerk preparations. Look for places with a warm ambiance and positive customer reviews highlighting the authenticity and taste of their food.

My husband I wanted to eat rotis today, but the Trinidadian lady who normally prepares them was resting today so we took a chicken stew and a jerk chicken. The stew was absolutely de-li-cious and so tender, waohhh! I loved the jerk, it was definitively hot and the chicken ess flavorful! Great experience! The atmosphere of the place is ok. Colors inside are warm and welcoming, probably even more when the room is full. In effect, there was just a handfull of people, I guess the reason was due to the heavy rain outside and it was just before end of the mass. It looked a bit empty , but sincerely the staff was lovely, and it was nice to listen to Bob Marley (whose face is painted on a wall of the unique room). There are many tables with comfy seats, but if one prefers, there is also a big bar in the corner. They have cocktails and other things non alcoholic. Like in many other places in the US, food is served in 1 way packaging/styrofoam clamshell with 1 plastic fork and paper napkins. Water bottles are in plastic and to be bought at the cashier. Let us hope one day we will all become planet friendly to ensure our kids and all living creatures a (better) future. I recommend this place, the tasty food, the welcoming, and its prices. There is plenty of parking outside.

No to everything! I didn’t get any island flavors from anything in my styrofoam container. The stewed chicken was bland, along with the rice and peas and cabbage. I left with a headache from the giant speaker they were testing while I was eating at the bar. I write all that to say, they can do ALOT better! Jamaican restaurants have a reputation of having terrible customer service but that doesn’t mean you have to live up to that.

I love this place! I never have pictures because I want ALL OF IT! My coworkers went with me for the first time and loved it they even went on their own. I had the stew chicken and a chicken patty. LOVED IT the small was more than enough for one person.

Emonie was outstanding. The food was excellent, again. This is my second time at this establishment and it was just as good as the first. I want to thank Emonie for phenomenal customer service on my first and second visit.
