A solid dimsum experience. The only missing piece is the traveling cart that you usually see at other dimsum places. But that’s not a must. We enjoyed everything that we ordered there. Maybe except for the roasted pork. Our order didn’t come with any skin. I don’t know if that was by design or not.

There are very few authentic Cantonese Restaurants in Richmond. When we heard this place was opening we had to try it. My husband and I have lived in Hong Kong, China and San Francisco so Cantonese food is comfort food for us. Their menu is not huge but it had lots of traditional dishes that reminded us of home. The Salted Fish Fried Rice, Siu Mai and Honey Walnut Shrimp were delicious. My children loved the decor and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place and we look forward to returning soon!

Finally there's a solid place to get dim sum in town (yes, better than Full Kee). Was overall very pleased with the food and service. Char Siu was good, shumai was great. The Lo Bak Go was delicious and had good texture, would've liked to have had an option with Chinese sausage mixed in. And my favorite were the fried shrimp balls. As for the dishes, the beef tendon was excellent though radishes were a bit hard. And the pork noodles were generally above average. I'll definitely be back and am very happy for RVA to have such a great option for southern Chinese food.

I dined here last month with my significant other and we both enjoyed our meal there. The place is clean and tidy, the interior encompassing many traditional Chinese restaurants with a modern flare. We both loved the decor, it had a homey feel to it, with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was welcoming, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu; she explained to us the specials that were on the folding chalk board with great detail. As for the food, we ordered egg drop soup, steamed pork shumai, roast duck on rice, and General Tso’s chicken. One of the things that I thought was nice was that we were brought watermelon slices as a dessert and palate cleanser. They didn’t have to but the extra effort is greatly appreciated. We enjoyed everything, but I have some notes for what we ordered: * Egg drop soup is my favorite, and although this one is good, it needs a bit more salt and white pepper * The pork shumai was excellent, very juicy and flavorful * The roast duck on rice was delicious, though I would suggest lessening the portion of rice to go with the duck - there was more rice compared to the duck. I would also suggest a dipping sauce to go with the steamed bok choy as well * The General Tso’s chicken was flavorful, juicy, and crispy, with the right amount of spice - not too overpowering at all. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. People need to understand that this place is still fairly new, being open for only a couple of months. I think that with time and implementing feedback from customers will elevate this place and help find its footing.
