About Canton Chinese Restaurant

Canton Chinese Restaurant, located at 5055 S Kipling St in Littleton, Colorado, provides meal delivery and takeout services to the local community. As a Chinese Restaurant, it offers a range of familiar dishes, but recent customer reviews present a varied perspective on the food quality.

One customer who ordered takeout noted that the service was organized, the order was correct, and it was ready quickly. However, they expressed significant disappointment with the Sesame Chicken and Orange Chicken, stating that these dishes were almost entirely fried breading with very little chicken inside, describing the breading as spongy and fluffy. They also mentioned that the Crab Cream Cheese Wontons contained no crab, only cream cheese, although they were well-fried and tasted good despite the missing ingredient. This customer found the chicken dishes to be disappointing, even providing a picture of the excessive fried breading.

In contrast, another customer who regularly orders lunch here every couple of weeks with their wife has a more positive view, particularly regarding their lunch specials. They describe the food as typical, old-school Americanized Chinese food, often including soup and an egg roll. For a price of around $10, they receive a large dish that they often split into two meals, finding it decent and consistent. They appreciate that it offers good value compared to other restaurants with rising prices, especially for takeout. Their regular orders include Chicken with Broccoli, Siracha Beef, Pork with Garlic Sauce, and Moo Shu Pork.

Based on these reviews, it appears that Canton Chinese Restaurant may offer reliable and affordable lunch specials that provide good value and consistency for those seeking familiar Americanized Chinese food. However, there are concerns regarding the quality of some of their chicken dishes, which have been described as having excessive breading and minimal chicken. Additionally, the Crab Cream Cheese Wontons were noted to lack crab filling.

Information regarding the restaurant's environment for dine-in (if available), further details on their services, specific features beyond takeout and delivery, or any promotional information is not available in these reviews. Potential customers may want to weigh the reports of inconsistent quality in some dishes against the positive feedback regarding the value and consistency of their lunch specials when considering ordering from Canton Chinese Restaurant. The quality of the food was unfortunately just not very good. Picked up food to go from this place, it was organized and the order was correct and ready quickly. But we ordered two chicken dishes, sesame chicken and orange chicken. It was almost entirely fried bread, with traces of chicken inside. Very spongy and fluffy Breading. The crab cream cheese Wontons had no crab inside, just cream cheese. But they were well fried and still tasted good. But the chicken dishes were just disappointing. The picture is of just the fried breading off the orange chicken, after I picked out the parts that actually had chicken inside of them.

My wife and I regularly order lunch here, every 2 weeks or so. The food is typical, old school Americanized Chinese food, with soup and an egg roll. But for roughly $10 you get a large dish that amounts to 2 meals (we split a dish), and while it's not gourmet, it's decent and consistent. Compared to other restaurants and how much those other places have raised prices, it's nice to have a place to get good food to go. We regularly get the Chicken w/Broccoli, Siracha Beef, Pork with Garlic Sauce, or Moo Shu Pork.

I haven't ordered from here in probably 3 years. Now I remember why. I ordered sesame chicken. There is so much breading on the chicken it's ridiculous. And the only thing that made it "sesame" is they thre a few sesame seeds on top. It's extremely dry, no sauce at all. Very disappointed. But it was fast delivery.

I was very surprised on how yummy everything was ! Super fresh and flavorful. I got the sesame chicken with fried rice as well as the veggie lo mein and crab cheese wontons. I didn’t see any crab in the wontons. More like cream cheese wontons but they were still delicious and fresh. The delivery was super quick too!

This is the best Chinese food I’ve had in the Denver metro area. I recently moved nearby and have had it twice now in the past several weeks and tried a variety of items. The dumplings looked and tasted like they were handmade. The sesame shrimp was perfectly crispy. The Singapore noodles had tons of flavor and seasoning. The Mongolian beef was very well done too and exactly what I was hoping for. Honestly I’m surprised the overall reviews of this place aren’t much higher! I also highly recommend the orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp which is what I got the first time.
