Canal Side Inn

This is a beautiful room. We stayed in the Bocuse room. Cons: It got very cold in the room and we only got it warm with the space heater provided. The bathroom door doesn't close. And the other door inside the bathroom to the toilet doesn't close. The windows were drafty. We could hear people talking outside on the sidewalk easily so it was a bit noisy. At night there was a noisy water trickling sound. There weren't many outlets available. The only convenient ones were right by the bed. Pros: All the appliances worked. The bathroom is beautiful and big. The whole room was very spacious. The TV had lots of shows and channels to watch. The entire room was clean. The location is great. We walked around the area and it was very nice. The breakfast provided across the street was good. They had yogurt, bagels, muffins, chips, soda, water, granola bars, coffee, cereal, bananas, apples, and oranges. Also they have free soda, water, and chips all day in the same spot. The room and location is cute and charming and has a lot of character. We would stay here again.

Service was excellent! Wait staff were helpful and kind. Food was delicious! amazing! Big portions, great value. Wonderful experience.

Great dinner and martinis. Walleye stuffed crab was great. Beef bourguignon was tasty but would have liked noodles. Cheesecake disappeared awful quick.

Delicious dinner, great ambiance, and our server was very down to earth & genuine. Great job Canal Side Inn!

I went for Valentine’s Day dinner (I was not aware of the $75 prix fix menu), nonetheless i would like to start off by saying the service was amazing. The staff is very welcoming. The food on the other hand? Not very impressive giving the price point. Very small portions, no flavor just bland. Overall I had to bring my food home and add flavor to it for me to enjoy. It’s just not worth the money, and I had very high expectations. Ambiance was nice though.
